Eddie proceeded to barley hit one pin from the left side. He clinched his eyes, throwing his head into his hand. Walking back to wait for the ball to return. As he threw again, hitting two more. He sighed and leaned up next to Buck while the girls went again.
"Told you"
After three more terrible rounds from Eddie, he was about to throw for his fourth round, right before he was ready to try, he felt someone touch his back. Buck felt pity on him and was going to help him.
"Here" Buck smiled,
He reached around Eddie's backside, lining up his legs and shoulders showing him how he throws it.
Buck stepped back as Eddie followed the steps he had shown him, letting go of the ball, hitting all the pins.
"YAY!!" He said clapping and pulling Eddie into a kiss
The girls also cheered from behind them.
With some more tips and tricks from Buck, Eddie still ended up having to buy dinner, but it wasn't so far behind from the rest. As they walked to their cars, he asked about dinner.
"Tacos?" Eddie suggested
They nodded so they all went to a taco truck that was open late. Walking up to the the window of the yellow and green food truck, Eddie smiled at the older Mexican man behind the counter.
"Hola amigo, podemos pedir cuatro tacos de pollo, cuatro carne Asada, y cuatro de chorizo por favor? gracias!" Eddie rambled off a taco order for them in Spanish.
"Sí! algo de beber?" The man asked
"si, cuatro refrescos" he pointed towards the cooler case behind the older man.
He nods and hands Eddie four cokes, he pays them out and pays, thanking the gentleman, heading over to meet up with the others.
Buck laid his head on Eddie's shoulder, leaning against his ear.
"That was so hot" he whispered
"What, me ordering dinner?!" Eddie giggled out
"Hey, don't blame me, Spanish is a LOVE language" he pouts.
"Aw mi amor" Eddie teased him
He wined lightly as he continued to pout.
Eddie rolled his eyes and took his hand. Humming to the Selena song playing from the trucks speakers. Such a influential young lady, taken so soon from this world. Every morning growing up his mom would play her music to get the kids ready, washed and dressed for school. As much as they weren't always the best parents, Eddie did love them both.
He sighs as they call his name for the order, they all start to eat, groaning at the amazing homemade cooked food. Then Cass and Amanda parted ways with them, leaving just Eddie and Buck to head back to his place.
~ July 9th 2010~
The next day Eddie woke up late to Buck whispering on the phone, he sleepily rubbed his eyes and watched him.
"Maddie, please. I could come get you right now. We can leave today and-"
"Madds... i- Maddie! DOUG IF YOU TOUCH HER!"
And then he slapped his phone onto the carpet hard. Facing Eddie who was now sat up in bed.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't want to wake you" he shook his head
He got up to race out the front door, Eddie picked up pace and slid in front of him and the door.
"Please move" he asked annoyed trying to push past.
Eddie just look deep into his eyes, "what happened?"
He studies his face, debating on whether to run or not. He finally decided to sit down and trust Eddie.
"My sister, Maddie called me finally in forever.... I got to tell her how happy I've been, about us, about everything I've gotten to do. And then she started telling me about her husband Doug.." he bit his lip not knowing what else to say. Starting to tear up and shake.
"she admitted to me that he hits her, and I've always known but like, she's reaching out. I told her I could, we could go back to where she lives, pick her up.... And then he walked into the room... I heard the slap. Then the line went dead."
They sat in silence for a moment, Eddie was trying to figure out what to say. He really didn't know what to say or do.
"I'm so sorry Buck. She doesn't deserve that. If there's anything I can do... let me know"
He leaned against my chest, lightly crying still. "Thank you"
"Your welcome" Eddie said. "Hey, I have a special day ahead, in a bit, let's get ready?"
Buck nodded, for now they both just laid back while Eddie rubbed Bucks back, calming him down from his already long morning.
Buck felt terrible for not being able to be there for his sister, the only person who cared for him his whole childhood, and now he can't care for her.
"I'm such a failure" Buck whispered to himself
"You are not!" Eddie who heard it replied.
Buck just scoffed,
"You are not a failure, Evan, you are the most generously kind and sweet person I've ever met" he said again
Buck smiled at that, at least Eddie thinks that. Buck isn't so sure if he can believe him right now.
.
The day that Eddie had planned was not a big hit with Buck at first. He had gotten them tickets to a cooking class.
"I burn water!" Buck complained pouting over at Eddie.
Eddie just shook his head and threw a apron at Bucks face. Honestly Eddie did enjoy cooking, he remembers helping his mom make tres leches cake for birthday parties. It was one "girly" activity that he was allowed to participate in. Even though he wish he could have learned to sew and other things like that. That was too gay. His dad didn't even like seeing him cook, but at least it got the kids to do the dishes.
"Please just try it out?" Eddie asked
"Fine, for you" Buck sighed and put on his apron.
The older lady who was the class instructor walked towards the front of her building, she began explaining the class. Buck took a swig of the wine, the best part of this experience, the free wine.
