Chapter 79- Graduation Pt1

From the start, this story has been about a town and the people who lived in that town. And the darkness that lived in some of those people. Clifford Blossom. The Black Hood. The Gargoyle King. The Stonies. And to add to that list Jugheads sister Jellybean.

I wake up with a start making Sweet Pea groan
"You ok?" he grumbles
"Yeah, sorry. Just an upsetting dream"
"Wanna talk about it?" Pea sits up rubbing the sleep from his eyes
"Dad was at graduation with mom"
"Oh Rory" Pea pulls in into him and holds me tight "your dad will most definitely be here today" he places a kiss on the top of my head
"Archie, Rory, Sweet Pea, breakfasts ready" mom calls from downstairs
"Best get dressed" I grumble pulling the covers from my body
"Or we could...." Pea smirks leaning closer to me
"Nope not while mom is downstairs and awake" I pull away practically jumping out of bed and to gather some clothes together.
Once showered and dressed Pea and I walk downstairs to see mom ironing all of our graduation gowns
"Morning" Archie says smiling at us both
"Morning I reply skipping into the kitchen for food
"Thank Mrs Andrews for this"
"It's not a problem. Go grab something to eat"
"Mom it's not graduation yet"
"No but it is your last day so I wanted to make sure everything's sorted for graduation"
"Thanks mom" Archie says taking some toast out of my hand
"Hey"
"See you at school"
"Speaking of you better go" mom says walking into the kitchen "enjoy your last day, we could have pops for tea if you'd like?"
"Sounds good mom. See you later. Love you"
"I love you too" I give mom a kiss on the cheek. Pat the dogs then leave with Sweet Pea.

"Seventy-five years ago, the first senior class of Riverdale High buried a time capsule just before they graduated. And now, as our seniors prepare for their own graduation, it's time to open it" Cheryl and Toni both open up the time capsule
"A copy of The Riverdale Register from June 12th, 1945" Cheryl holds up a very old looking news paper
"A copy of The Blue and Gold, also from that same year" Toni says showing us all
"This one's for Jughead. A Pop's menu from when hamburgers only cost 15 cents"
Cheryl says making us all laugh knowing how much he loves his food
"A baseball card of Ambrose 'The Rocket' Pipps, Riverdale's hometown hero"
"Ew. A Red Circle comic book"
"And lastly, a photo of 4 seniors, and it's written here that this was taken days before the boys headed off to war"
"These items will be on display for closer inspection during graduation week. And, fellow seniors, enjoy your last day of high school!" Cheryl smiles clapping.

"Guys doesn't this feel so weird?" Kevin says as we all sit in the student lounge. I'm sat on Pea's lap "Like, this is the last time we'll all be hanging out together"
"Kev don't say that I'm already an emotional wreck" I pout
"We will have reunions" Jug says
"Yeah and we still have homecoming" Toni says
"Just won't be the same"
"Gonna miss the Serpents up your ass" Pea laughs at Reggie
"In your dream Pea brain" he jokes back
"What are we waiting for again exactly?" just as Cheryl asks this, in walks Betty and Veronica
"Hot off the presses chums" V says
"Year books? But Honey banned those didn't he"
"Banned prom and all but he's gone babe" I say to Pea. Betty hands me a book and I open it up. The first page is of Jason
"Betty this is amazing" Cheryl days also looking at the page
"There's even an entire page dedicated to the Serpents" Pea says showing me in my book
"And a shout out to the pretty poisons" Toni gasps
"And the musical's despite the fact that..."
"Archie Andrews and Jughead Jones to the principal's office" an announcement is heard cutting Kevin off
"Dead teens walking"
"Good luck" I say looking at the 2 boys.

We sit in science all watching the clock tick
"Baby put the pencil down, your going to break it" I chuckle placing my hand on top of his. I look back at the clock at as soon as it hits 3pm the bell rings. Pea and I stand up and kiss before hugging Reggie and the the others. I take Peas hand and we leave the science room still celebrating with everyone
"We did it!" I yell earning a cheer from all our friends
"Let's grab our things and celebrate" Reggie says.
