Rudra and Maitree walked out of their neuro-cardio patient's room. Maitree sighed and opened the case file, checking if she missed something.

"We checked over everything," said Rudra, looking at Maitree as she ran her fingers over the case files.

"But, there has to be something. Maybe one more MRI or CT scan could help us understand the extent of the spread," Maitree said, focusing on the case file.

"Maitree, he has to undergo chemo before the surgery to shrink the tumor," he said, looking at Maitree.

"Chemo will be extensive and exhausting. Even after the surgery, he will still have to undergo chemo or radiation therapy," she said, looking at him, then started walking, closing the files.

"The horrible side of our jobs," Rudra said, putting his hands in his pocket, walking beside Maitree.

"It's just that he has two little girls. If something happens, what will become of them?" Maitree said, walking, looking unfocused.

"You can't think like that. We are his doctors; we have to think like his doctors," Rudra said in a professional tone. Maitree nodded with a small smile and said, "I will contact his oncologist and give him our report," then started walking away.

Rudra stood, picked out his phone, and texted Maitree, 'Free tonight?'

Maitree's phone blinked as she looked at the text. She turned around, smiled, and nodded. Rudra returned the gesture with a big smile, and Maitree went on her way to contact the oncologist.

Walking out of the elevator, Maitree sipped her coffee while wearing casual attire. She had spent the day in the library, reading through case files to assist her neuro-cardio patient and finishing up the report for the oncologist. Sitting on the reception's couch, still sipping her coffee, she scrolled through Sonakshi's Instagram feed. Maitree never understood social media, so she never made an account, but she has Sonakshi's account on her phone because she adores watching babies doing silly things. "Why are they so adorable?" Maitree thought with awe.

While scrolling, she found a post that made her smile drop: Vatsel and Pooja smiling, with Vatsal pointing at Pooja's belly, and both of them smiling in the picture. The caption read: "On our way to parenthood. #blessed #one-month pregnant." Maitree let out a sigh and heard someone call her name. Looking up, she saw Rudra waving from the reception, dressed casually and ready to leave. Her smile grew, and she put her phone away, got up, collected her handbag, laptop bag, and walked over to Rudra.

"Ready to leave?" he asked with a smile, and she nodded. "Here, I'll get your laptop bag," Rudra said, reaching out for Maitree's bag. Without waiting for her answer, he took it and started walking. He stopped when he noticed Maitree not walking alongside him and turned to ask, "Did you forget something?" with questioning eyes.

"Nothing," she said, walking up to him. "I was wondering where we will be going tonight?" she asked with excitement in her eyes.

"This time, you pick a place," he said, walking out of the hospital.

"Alright! Where would you like to go?" she asked, continuing to walk.

"Surprise me," he said, looking at the sky.

"I can't read minds like you can," she said, stopping in her tracks with hands on her hips.

"Not my problem," he said, continuing to walk. She laughed and followed after him.

"And I want everything," he said, facing her. "You will pick me up, with flowers. I want to be swept off my feet," he said with a serious expression.

"Okay, but there is a little problem," she said, scrunching her face. Rudra raised his right eyebrow. Maitree leaned in and whispered, "I don't know how to drive," sharing it like a secret. Rudra's eyes widened, he chuckled, and whispered back, "You don't have a license?"
