I ran off, leaving Jacob probably upset and confused. I ran towards our house, in hysterics. I suddenly froze. A black figure was less than a yard away from me, and it stunk like human blood. My knees locked into place, recognizing its figure. Alec. I narrowed my eyes, and took a step forward.
"I'm not here to kill you," he yelled.
"How do I know you are not lying, Alec?" I said, and shifted on my feet. I heard him scoff, and he took off his Jacket. I laughed aloud, taking in the normal person clothing. He then ran towards me, and slapped me across the face. I fell into the tree that was besides me, and I stared up at him in shock. "You said you weren't going to kill me!" I whimpered, and he laughed slightly. He leaned closer into my face, and his eyes were glowing dangerously.
"I never said I wouldn't hurt you. For such a smart girl, you can be very idiotic at times." He picked me up by the collar and I put my palm on his arm. I thought of every horrifyingly horrifying thing I could ever image, and put it in his head. His eyes glazed over, and he dropped me. He fell to the ground, and looked shocked. I expected him to be in shock for at least twenty minutes, so I started sprinting home. A large figure then grabbed me, and I screamed.
"Ness, it's just me, God. Come on, we better get you home." I sighed in relief at Emmett's sudden appearance. "Man, I am so going to knock some sence into that jackass." He muttered things like that all the back to the cottage, and I drifted towards sleep. It seemed like every time someone hurt me, or I used my gift, I would get extremely tired. I needed to think about that later.

"Alice, I'm fine, really! I can move around, and I ate a whole pizza! I can get up, please?" I begged. Alice was being Dad right now, by making me sit on the couch and 'rest'. She sighed, and nodded. "Yes!" I leaped up and went straight for the door.
"Hey hey hey! I am only letting you move around the house! No outdoors. Yet." She flipped in the TV, and turned it to a music channel. "Yay! Hello Kitty!" She screamed. I sat down beside her, expecting the cat and all her dumb animal friends to be dancing around, but what I got was an Avril Lavigne music video that was extremely horrifying. Alice started singing along, and I covered my ears. "I am so glad it's the six hour long version!" Alice cheered.
"I wish I was in a coma," I mumbled, "or with Jake. Oh, no!" What was I going to tell Jacob? Why did I leave him just after kissing him? I clunked my head on the coffee table. "I hate myself."
