"Stay here," Ares said, gesturing for Grant to step into the room.
It was a large square room, with a very tall ceiling.
"What's this? Your kind's version of a broom closet?" Grant asked coldly, earning a thoughtful hum from Ares.
"Yeah! Pretty much, " she said, closing the door, leaving Grant alone in the emptied room.
Grant sighed heavily, his voice echoing slightly.
"Giant, fucking hot wheel" he said looking around the room, falling into a sitting position with a sigh.
He then fell backward, laying flat on the cold stone floor.
"Not even a chair..." He said quietly. Closing his eyes
He'd lay there for what felt like an eternity to him, he lost his phone when Ares yoinked him off the street. So he couldn't entertain himself that way.
The door slid open, causing him to sit up quickly, adrenaline once again flooding his veins.
The smaller bulky bot that had Greeted Ares upon her arriving with Grant walked in, shaking the ground slightly.
"Hey kid" He said the lights on either side of his head flashing, gently tossing somethinh toward him.
Grant flinched slightly as an old and dusty Blanket hit him, wobbling slightly as it nearly fell from his grip.
It was rough and rather old, it felt like a blanket one would get with a moving van, used for covering personal items.
"It aint much, but its better than the floor. Until we can get someone to run you out for some stuff" the autobot said with a slight tone of sympathy in his voice.
"The name's WheelJack, you're...Grant right?" He introduced, crouching down slightly.
"Yeah..." The teen said hesitantly, standing up, still holding the blanket.
WheelJacked sighed, placing a hand on the back of his neck.
"Look, I know how this all looks to you. A human being kidnapped by giant...aliens, " He said awkwardly, as if uncertain of what to say.
"You forgot the part where you're a giant robot," Grant said bluntly.
"Robots to you Maybe. We aren't mindless machines, " WheelJack stated with slight aggitation in his voice at the remark.
"Nontheless, you are safer here than you would be out there"
"With the Cons on your scent, the safest place you can be is in this base. Bein' this deep underground, they're not gonna be able to pick up your energon readings." WheelJack explained in a factual tone, earning a hum from Grant as his shoulders dropped.
Grant looked down slightly, a defeated expression crossing his face as WheelJack stood back up, shaking the ground gently as he walked away.
"Thanks...for the Blanket" Grant said quietly as the door opened infront of WheelJack, leading him to look over his shoulder slightly.
"Don't mention it kid" He said with a nod, leaving Grant alone in the room.
