"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Ares asked hesitantly as she drove next to Arcee. Both of them in their alt mode.
"Prime was pretty clear. To avoid Grant leaving the base, we have to go find some human things to entertain him. Where else should we look besides his house?" Arcee said in a matter of fact tone, earning a slight wary laugh from Ares.
"LITERALLY anywhere else! Just because he lives outside of town doesn't mean neighbors won't get suspicious!" Ares remarked coldly.
Arcee and Ares pulled into a long driveway, their headlights going dark as they did.
"Look, his sister won't be home for another two hours or so."
"She works late, so that'll give me enough time to sneak in and grab a few of his things... hopefully without breaking anything.
Arcee hesitantly transformed from out of her alt mode, crouching in the dim moon light.
Ares transformed as well, crouching down as much as she could against the side of the large attached garage.
Arcee crouched down to the garage door, managing to hook her fingers under it slightly.
With one slow movement, she managed to open the garage slowly.
Upon opening it, Ares was motioned into the garage by Arcee.
She quietly closed the garage behind Ares, who let out a soft whistle as she cast a purple glow from her optics, illuminating the interior as if they were flash lights.
"A lot bigger on the inside," she said as Arcee cast her own blue glow from her optics.
"Alright, I'll go get Grant's stuff. You stay here, in Altmode, " Arcee said simply as she made her way to the door attached to the house.
Ares let out an annoyed sigh as she stood up, banging her head on the ceiling, her optics flickering in reaction.
"Really?! Why am I here then?!" She asked in annoyance.
"You're here because Optimus wants us to travel in pairs now after I almost got Grant pancaked"
"And because you are technically Grant's guardian" Arcee explained, earning a pause from Ares.
"Technically??" She asked coldly.
Arcee snapped her fingers as she opened the door to the house, pointing to Ares afterward.
Ares let out a frustrated growl before transforming back into her alt mode.
Arcee banged her head slightly as she slipped into the house, shaking her head.
She then nearly tripped over a small table, a potted plant jostling ontop of it precariously.
Arcee quickly balanced the table on its legs, carefully backing away from it.
"Humans and their tiny furniture..." she said with a sigh.
Arcee slowly crept through the house, finding herself attempting to climb a staircase.
She had to partially transform herself to fit up the stairs, her arms folding inward, leaving her but a torso with legs and a head as she tip-toed up the steps.
She managed to find her way onto the upper floor, searching each room.
She opened a room, chuckling slightly as she snuck inside. The room was small, slightly messy with a few clothes strewn about.
She picked up the clothes as she went, slinging them over her left arm, now able to transform them out.
She looked around the tiny room, smiling as her eyes fell upon the T.V, a small gaming console attached to it.
