"So you struck her?" Optimus asked in confusion, stood in the infirmary.
"She was crushing my hand -"
"Which you broke," Ares stated, cutting Grant off.
"Thank you! I am WELL AWARE, " Grant said in a raised tone, holding up his left hand, now in a rudimentary cast.
"Human instinctual reactions aren't exactly...thought through" Ratchet stated, still standing behind the human.
"What. Is happening to me, " Grant asked bluntly, bringing the autobot's attention back to him.
"Two weeks ago, I couldn't even do like ten push-ups without getting tired. And now im denting....LIVING METAL?" Grant stated in a slight laugh of disbelief.
"I can see how that can be...concerning-"
"No! It's not!" Grant said in a laugh.
"I, well, okay, yeah, it's a little alarming," Grant admitted, standing up on the giant Cybertronian medical table.
"But that's like... superhero stuff! I mean, like the STRONGEST human to throw a punch was still like four times weaker than a GORILLA"
"Nontheless, you should refrain from any strenuous physical exertion. Considering this is new territory, " Ratchet said firmly, earning a slight sigh from Grant.
"Yeah, I get it," the teen remarked coldly.
"I dont believe you do!" Ratchet retorted, moving around the table to face Grant.
"You are the first human to have not only survived coming into contact with Energon, but to have begun to experience side effects!"
"For all we know, your bones could be melting, or you could be generating cancer cells!"
"We can not afford any excess strain upon your body!" Ratchet raised his voice, causing Grant to flinch slightly.
"That is enough, Ratchet," Optimus said, placing a hand on the Medic's shoulder.
"He's not wrong though," Ares agreed in a slight wary tone, her arms crossed at the implication.
"You very well could die, at the least get, very, very sick," Ares added, approaching the table.
"So let's just take it slow, okay?" Ares suggested, her stern tone she had normally carried, noticeably abcent.
Grant grumbled in a mixture of frustration, contemplation, and disbelief. On one hand, he could potentially experience something beyond human capacity. On the other hand, he could be dying? Without even knowing?
"Okay, what...exactly, IS happening to my body?" Grant asked with a sigh, Ratchet sharing a look with Optimus, who nodded in confirmation.
"Well, to put it simply in a way, you might understand. Your body as we already knew. Is producing Energon.
"But rather than that, Energon being absorbed by your body, through any core systems. Like it would a Cybertronian. It is....stockpiling"
"And if it reaches a high enough percentage in your bloodstream, without any method of being used it could likely super-combine and-"
"Explode?" Grant asked in a more concerned tone, now standing with his arms crossed, absentmindedly tapping his foot.
"Y-Yes..." Ratchet confirmed in slight surprise, not having expected a human to follow such a train of thought.
"Oh god im full of NEEDLER ROUNDS?!" Grant asked in panic, sending the Cybertronians present into silence.
"What?"
