After your English class, you find yourself heading towards your own locker. Throughout the day, a bothersome individual named Chad had been pestering you in class, insisting that you join them and the rest of the squad for a drink. The other students were observing Chad as he continued to complain about how snobby you had been towards him during the entire class, which ultimately resulted in you getting in trouble with Mr. Gomez.
"Come on, man a drink wouldn't hurt ya." He said, patting my shoulder, I just sighed at him and closed my eyes before looking at Chad "As long as I want to but I have to deal something today, I'll just catch up to you guys."
You said putting your books and some of your important stuff inside your locker.
"Don't tell me you and Tara are on a secret date?" Mindy teased. I just chuckled and replied, "No, even though I would like the idea of taking her on a date. Why? Aren't you coming with them for a drink, Tara?" I said, looking into Tara's eyes and noticing her rolling her eyes at what I said, before I closed my locker.
"No, I can't. Mom isn't home today; she went to London for business and wants me to stay home tonight," she answered, shrugging her shoulders.
"Just you alone?" I asked, slinging my backpack over my shoulder.
"Mmhm," she simply replied.
"That must've been lonely," I said.
"Oh, tell me about it," she crossed her arms, clearly expressing her frustration.
As I was about to tease her more, Amber suddenly grabbed my arms to get my attention away from Tara. Looking at Amber who's looking up to me.
"So, are you going to come with us after Y/n?" Amber questioned.
"I'll try for you guys," I answered. She playfully smacked my butt as she walked off with the squad, leaving me and Tara behind. I just shook my head at what Amber did.
"I'll see you later, pretty boy," she said, waving her hand.
"You're not going with them, are you?" Tara asked. I laughed and replied, "Stop worrying, Tara. I'll go with them if you come with me."
"You know that I can't," she said. I looked at her and smirked, "It's hard to be alone, and we're having fun. I also want you to have some fun since your mom isn't home," I explained to her.
"Come on, I can pick you up if you want. Are you comfortable with me picking you up in front of your house? Or maybe I could come over to your place, and we could watch some movies? If you're not comfortable going out with the squad," I asked her being persistent to her.
She just sighed thinking if she wants to go out or to accept your movie watch to her house, "I think the movies sound good. I can just cook for us."
"Oh, then that's settled. Just don't tell Chad that I'll be ditching the drink," I said as I winked at her. She laughed and replied, "Good luck with that."
As soon as I get inside my car, I waved my hand goodbye to the squad turning on the engine before driving off honking to your squad as you passed by them.
You sighed as you drive alone to the small trailer park, not that ready to face your Uncle from your mother side but you have to.
Your Aunt Leslie gave you a sketch, indicating where you could find your Uncle. She had told you that he might be living near the small trailer park. As your car passed a campervan, you parked on the side of the road.
After getting out of the car and fixing yourself up, you proceeded to walk to the door. Taking deep breaths, you prepared yourself before knocking on his door.
