The following day, you woke up to the soft rays of sunlight seeping through the curtains. Carefully extricating yourself from Tara's embrace, you planted a tender kiss on her forehead before getting out of bed and stretching. You felt a mixture of contentment and concern, reflecting on the events that had unfolded the previous night.

As you stepped into the living room, you found Sam sitting there, lost in her thoughts. She looked up as she sensed your presence and greeted you with a warm smile. "Good morning," she said.

"Good morning to you too," you replied, returning the smile. "Did you sleep well last night?" Sam inquired.

"Oh, I slept damn well last night!" you responded with enthusiasm, causing Sam to chuckle at your energetic reply. "Wow, this is the first time I've seen you so full of sunshine in the morning. Usually, you're either grumpy or not in the mood when you wake up. Where do you keep all that energy?" she asked, as you settled down next to her on the couch.

"I guess I'm just still feeling the afterglow from last night. After all, I did stab that guy in his hands," you said with a mischievous grin. Sam's expression turned serious as she locked eyes with you.

"I'm torn between thanking you for protecting Tara and giving you a lecture about the potential consequences if that guy decides to press charges for what you did," she said, shrugging in a somewhat defeated manner.

You made a sound of acknowledgment upon realizing the twins, Chad, Mindy, Ethan, and Kirby were not around. "Where are the twins, Kirby, and Ethan?" you inquired. Sam informed you, "Ethan said he needed to take care of his English literature and will return later."

"Early in the morning, he has English literature?" You let out a surprised remark, and Sam nodded, saying, "Let the nerd live, Y/n. He needs his educational stress back after all that happened."

As for the twins, Sam shrugged her shoulders and replied, "They might be sleeping since you and Tara decided to make some noise last night. I don't know what time those two finally went to bed."

"And Kirby?" you asked. "She stormed off earlier after she talked to Peter. I think it must be about the information we needed," Sam explained.

You chuckled as you felt a familiar embrace around your neck, followed by a gentle kiss on your neck. Glancing to your side, you saw Tara looking at you with affection in her eyes. "Good morning, baby," she murmured. You returned her smile and said, "Well, good morning to you too, gorgeous."

Sam playfully rolled her eyes at the sight before her. "Can you two lovebirds stop being all mushy in front of me?" she said, making both you and Tara chuckle. "I didn't know you could still walk after what Y/n did to you last night," Sam teased her sister Tara.

Tara blushed and playfully rolled her eyes at Sam. "Oh, please, Sam. Don't act like you and Danny are any less affectionate," Tara retorted with a sly grin.

Sam rolled her eyes again, trying to hide her blush. "Well, that's different. We're not as over-the-top as you two," she said, feigning nonchalance.

You chuckled at the playful banter between the sisters, gently patting Tara's arms that were wrapped around your neck. "Alright, enough teasing, you two. Let's have some breakfast," you said, redirecting their attention.

You turned to Tara and asked her for a favor. "Princess, would you mind waking up the twins for me? I'll start preparing breakfast for all of us," you requested, and she nodded with a smile before heading upstairs to wake up Chad and Mindy.
