"They weren't able to find him?"

"nope, apparently the asshole was able to slip out without anyone noticing. Part of me thinks he may have switched disguises to get out. Seemed like a master of disguise type which pisses me off", I answered. Just thinking about the chameleon pisses me off. To a point I may just punch someone out of the blue.

It's been a few days since my last run in with chameleon. After police raided City Hall they found multiple armed mercenaries unconscious with multiple injuries, even making the news. Though the daily bugle had to come in saying that it was all a hoax meant to make me look good. Jameson is really starting to get on my bad side. Even with that people have been seeing me in a better light. The police are pulling back on bringing me in. Maybe investigating if my other appearances were actually me or not. makes my nights easier without having to worry about them. Then I also need to look in on that British detective, the first detective to jump to my aid.

"you two care to join us anytime soon?". Breaking us out of our conversation was our substitute Gym Teacher. Apparently Mr. Brian is on vacation for a few weeks. God I hate this class but not for the reasons you think. Just hate the stupid tests they have us take. Barely a challenge for me.

Not saying a word I ended our conversation. The substitute, happy that we were paying attention announced that Mr. Brian told him that we would be doing our physical tests today. Yep, the part I hate is of course what we're doing today.

"Mister Parke, you mind removing your sweater?"

"But Mr. Brian let's me wear it. He's never had an issue when I did", I said, getting worried. You see there's a reason I wear a sweater and some baggy clothing almost all year round. Don't like showing off my physique to everyone. Not because I have body image issues but I just don't like showing it off. Last thing I need is every girl drooling after me in this school. Which won't help if I take off my sweater since I'm wearing gym clothes.

"Well Mr. Brian isn't here and I don't like my students wearing sweaters, so take it off"

"Fucking hell", I said under my breath. Unzipping my sweater I took it off, setting it to the side. Walking back next to Peter I already saw everyone's eyes on me.

"That spider bite really did wonders for you", Peter whispered with a smirk. I just shot him a glare in response.

"Let's get this shit over with"

------------------------------------------------

"Push ups, you will do as many push ups as you are physically able to. No shame in stopping when your exhausted"

The minute he said go I started. Thinking about it I never really got to see how far I can go with my powers. Just know I have increased strength, durability but nothing too crazy, healing, and endurance. This could be a way to see how far I can go. Though I'm pretty sure I won't be able to really test my limits. I will enjoy everyone's looks though!

Doing the push ups I just went at an even pace not breaking a sweat. It was funny to watch everyone start dropping out. Some of the Jocks in the class were trying to keep up with me but eventually also fell out. One person I was surprised to do so much was our resident new girl Andi but when she stopped she didn't show any signs of strain. Seems it takes a lot to get a reaction out of her. Soon though I was by myself still going with everyone watching. Though some of the girls seemed a little heated except Andi. She still had her emotionless look. Knowing I can go for longer I decided to stop.

"What's next?"

----------------------------------------------

"Next we'll do pull ups! just like before keep going until you can't"

Waiting in line I waited patiently for my turn. Behind me was Andi and for some reason I could feel her gaze on me. Looking over my shoulder sure enough Andi was looking right at me. Won't lie it was a little off putting but I've been through worse. In her eyes though I saw interest like she was trying to figure me out.

"You're a conundrum Parker", she suddenly said. Well this is starting off as confusing.

"Just call me Jack Andi. What are you talking about?"

"A normal teenage boy even after going through physical training can't do the amount of push ups you can do. I know you stopped when you could have done more. You weren't even breaking a sweat or showing any sign of strain", she said with no emotion but I could tell it did interest her. Maybe I'm not being smart about this. Soon the substitute called my name to go next.

"I get a good workout", I said walking up to the pull up bar. Jumping up I grabbed the bar and began. Again I didn't break a sweat but decided for the sake of time to stop dropping down. Looking at Andi, the look she had now in her eyes was an analyzing one. This is going to bite me in the ass I know it.

--------------------------------------------

"Ok, now onto our final test. The mile run, I'll be standing here timing everyone. Once you've finished I'll tell your time. Now line up!"

Lining up with the rest of my class everyone got into a running position. With some taking more serious stances. Me though I just stood with my arms crossed. I'll be able to catch up easily but I may hold back a bit. Looking around I saw Andi watching me. Holding back may be a good way to get her off my back. I'm starting to learn that maybe I should hold back on physical abilities at school. Didn't really think that doing this would possibly give away I'm the spook. God I can be a dumbass sometimes.

"GO!"

Right off the bat some started running or others jogged. For me I decided to just start off with a light jog before going into a sprint. This led me to passing multiple people with some of the school's resident jocks surprised with how easily I passed them. At one point one of them tried to run as fast as he could to catch up but couldn't. On the final lap I decided to finish it with just a light jog. Finishing my lap I walked up to substitute for my time.

"exactly four minutes mister Parker, impressive for someone your age", he complimented. Damn, guess I didn't hold back as much as I liked to. Oh well.

Walking off to the side I saw Peter on his back breathing heavily. Guess the substitute took some pity on him and let him end early. Standing over him he looked up at me still catching his breath.

"So guessing he let you end early then?"

"Yeah, my chest felt like it was going to explode!", he said as I sat next to him.

"Yeah well at least you don't have someone analyzing your every move today", I commented leaning back onto the grass.

"Yeah, I noticed how Andi has been watching you. I can tell she's trying to figure you out"

"Can you blame me?". Sure enough there was our mystery girl. Peter jumped suddenly hearing her voice while I stood still. Have to say she's pretty quiet when she wants to be. Didn't really hear her come up to us.

"Watching you do every exercise today has been interesting and at the same time perplexing. A boy your age shouldn't be able to do the exercises without breaking a sweat. Along with holding back so much", he said with her stare shining down on me. It wasn't a threatening stare but one of interest and someone wanting to solve a puzzle. A look of amusement.

"Always been a mystery to most people and none have yet to figure me out. If you choose to take that challenge, good luck. Won't be easy", I said with a smirk.

"Challenge accepted", she said before walking away.

"You sure that's a good idea Jack? what if you figure out you know what"

"I doubt it, I've given her no reason to even think I'm the spook. Doubt she would figure it out anyway. I'm actually pretty careful about people finding out my identity", I said with a smirk. Peter just looked at me with a blank look.

"Then how about the time I found out?"

"You were just lucky! don't push it!"
