"Twinkle, I have good news." Shimmer exclaimed as she walked through the doors of their castle.
"Oh. What is it?" Twinkle asked curiously.
"Popsicle asked me to the ball." Shimmer replied.
"You said yes, right?" Twinkle asked.
"Yeah, but only so I'd have someone to go with." Shimmer replied.
"Wow, sis." Twinkle commented.
"What?" Shimmer asked in confusion.
"You're gonna break his heart when you tell him the truth." Twinkle replied.
"He knows, already." Shimmer assured.
"And he's ok with your reasoning?" Twinkle asked curiously.
"Seems so." Shimmer replied. "Anyways, you going with anyone?"
"Um, no." Twinkle replied.
Shimmer gasped. "What? Why not?"
"No one asked me." Twinkle replied.
"Aww, I'm sorry to hear that." Shimmer said. "Are you still going?"
"Yes." Twinkle replied.
"That's good." Shimmer said. "Who knows, you might meet someone there?"
"I hope so." Twinkle replied. "Anyways we should go pick out our dresses."
"Go on without me." Shimmer said.
"Why?" Twinkle asked in confusion.
"I'm gonna call River, Raina, and Coral." Shimmer replied. "Ya know to see if they're going also."
"Ok." Twinkle said. "Oh, that reminds me I gotta go ask Crystal if she's also gonna."
"Alright." Shimmer replied. "You do that while I call the others."
"Will do." Twinkle said as Shimmer went to make those calls.
~Time Skip~
"Hey, Raina." Shimmer said as soon as her cousin answered the phone.
"Hi, Shimmer." Raina replied. "Whatcha need?"
"Are you and River going to the ball?" Shimmer asked.
"Of course." Raina replied. "Besides, you and I both know River would never pass something like that up."
"Fair point." Shimmer agreed. "Ok, that's all I needed to know."
"Alright, see you there." Raina said.
"Ok." Shimmer replied as she hung up. "Now to ask Coral." Shimmer scrolled through her contacts before it hit her. "Wait a minute, Coral grew up in the ocean. So, she doesn't have a phone." Shimmer let out a sigh. "Guess that means I have to go directly to her." And with that, Shimmer went to Coral's room.
