Once Shimmer got to the door, she knocked gently on it.
"Coral, are you in here?" Shimmer called. "I need to ask you something."
"Hi, Shimmer." Coral said. "What's up?"
"Are you going to the ball at Royal Academy?" Shimmer asked curiously.
"Sure am." Coral replied. "Wait, why didn't you just call me? I have a phone."
"You do? How?" Shimmer asked in disbelief.
"Merpeople have phones." Coral replied. "However, they only work underwater."
"Oh, neat. I'm gonna go, now." Shimmer said as she started to walk away.
"Shimmer, wait." Coral called.
"What?" Shimmer replied in confusion as she turned around.
"Can I go with you and your sisters to pick out a dress?" Coral asked nervously. "And can we exchange numbers?"
"Of course." Shimmer replied with a smile.
"Really?" Coral asked in disbelief. "Well, thanks." She then gave Shimmer her phone.
"No problem." Shimmer replied as she took the phone and put her number into it before giving it back. "Anyways, let's go."
"Right behind ya." Coral said as they both left the room.
