Ethan’s  POV

“Bitawan mo ako, guard, tulong! Tulong! Tulong ho!!!” I can feel the pressure running through my veins and I can’t move. I’m scared.

“Wag kang maingay babae ka!” He pointed the knife at her as she blocked her hand. Blood came out oozing out, she reeled in pain.

The guy hurriedly run and she grabbed her paper bag.

She tried to chase the guy, but her hand was full of blood, and I don’t like blood. She turned in to me.

“Ano bang ginagawa mo diyan Ethan, habulin mo siya!!!” She screamed at me and cried.

And I was caught up with the blood in her arm, I have hemophobia.

I passed out.

And that was all I remembered.

…..

I woke up at the hospital. Nakakapanibago yung baho ng lugar, kaya I thought na I’m at the hospital. And I was concerned. Nasaan si Ema? Ano bang nangyari sa kamay niya? And I didn’t like that blood scene, it scared the hell out of me. I’m lucky that I’m saved, but how about Ema? Is she alright?

I can feel guilt haunting me.

I got up and asked the nurse about Ema. She said, she’s at a private room, having her hands checked.

And I walked directly to that room with the help of the nurse. I need to say sorry to her. I felt bad about it.

When I came, I can hear voices, I can’t help but eavesdrop.

“Ms. Mandarilag, I’m afraid that the flexor tendons in you’re pointing and ring finger is at serious condition. Na-cut siya ng kutsilyo at sa aking pagkakaalam na ang flexor tendons enables movement in your fingers, if it’s pulled apart, movement is unavailable. If these are damaged, movements are impossible. But Ms. Mandarilag, don’t you worry dahil for a couple of months, we will examine it para malaman natin if that’s available for surgery at baka maka recover ka at magkakamovements uli yung kamay mo. But for now, you should not make use of your fingers muna baka mag cause sha ng unavailability of movement. Bending it might be painful, kaya don’t stress it. We will examine your fingers, wag kang mag-alala it’s not yet official.”

“A Doc, so ibig sabihin na if ever na hindi talaga malutas ng surgery ng kamay ko…”

“Movements are impossible or else it’ll be painful. Ang trabaho mo ba ay involved with hand movements?”

“Opo Doc. I paint,sketch and draw ho using my right fingers.”

“I’m sorry Ms. Mandarilag, but I guess kailangan natin na maghintay. Please take care of your fingers, pag papabayaan mo lang yan, mas grabe pa nag mangyayari at hindi natin gusto yan.”

“O sige Doc, naiintindihan  ko po. Babalik nalang po ako next week.”

“Okay, Ms. Mandarilag, you can call me anytime if you have questions.”

“Salamat po, mauna na ho ako.”

When she came out I tried to hide. I hated her at our first meeting. Sino naman ang hindi mabwibwisit sa kanya? She scolded and mocked me like she’s mightier than I am.

And I tried to swallow my pride.

Just when I try to speak she bumped in to some random guy. He took her by the hand and it seems like their going to elope. The nurse chased them.

I was just about to apologize, but that guy ruined it.

Nevermind.
