Kiara’s POV

My love for Jake never wavered, but sometimes I find myself unable to stop wondering if the Jake I met five years ago still exists within him. What if he hadn't transformed into a party person? What if he remained the person he was, then everything would be so much easier.

Rumors have reached my ears about him kissing different women every night at bars, but I refuse to believe any of them. I know he loves me, and he would never betray me like that.

"Baby, the ceiling is about to melt," he said sarcastically.

"What? Um... sorry, Jakie. I'm kind of tired. Would you mind if I rest here for a while?"

"Sure! Of course. You're always welcome here. You can stay as long as you want."

"Thank you, Jakie," I said as I slowly positioned myself to lie down on the bed.

Jake’s POV

"For what?"

"For everything you've done for me. You've always been here for me, ever since."

"Of course. It's because I love you," I said, looking at her intently.

"Stop looking at me like that."

"Why?" I laughed at her response.

"Nothing," she replied, her eyes looking weary.

"Baby, you've been my girlfriend for five years now. Why can't you admit that I'm hot and handsome?" I teased her.

"Hahahahahahahaha."

What? She just laughed at me? Argh! This girl knows how to laugh like a devil.

"Duh," I said, rolling my eyes.

"I love you, Kiara," I said, gently playing with her hair.

"I love you more, Jakie."

She's incredibly beautiful. I've never doubted my choice of being with her, but I often feel that she made a mistake choosing me. She has never lied to me in the past five years. She's always been there for me, helping me with my assignments even when she's struggling with hers. Can you imagine that? Can you imagine a guy like me, who has had the audacity to cheat on his girl not just once, but countless times?

I watch her serene and angelic face as if there's no tomorrow lying ahead. Damn, I love this girl so much. That's why Matt can easily put his millions on the line, because he knows exactly how much I love her.

She's the woman of my dreams, the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. I'd sacrifice everything for her. There's no one like Kiara, not even any of the girls I hooked up with, not even my ex—

"Jakie."

Kiara utters my name.

"Baby, why?" I'm so confused.

"What’s that hard thing on my legs?"

"Baby, that's my—"

"Hahahahahahaha."

She's just laughing at me, but if I move any further, I don't know if she'll still be able to laugh like that.

"Baby, can I—"

"Shhhh..."

A moment of silence.

Anyway, I'm on top of Kiara right now. We're cuddling. We always cuddle until we fall asleep, but she never lets me touch her, and I highly respect that.

"Jakie..."

She pulls my head closer to give me a kiss.

I thought it would be a gentle kiss, but she surprises me. She's so wild, unlike her usual self. I have to check if it's still Kiara I'm kissing because she's never been like this. Never.

The atmosphere crackles with an intense energy, and I can feel her passion and desire. It's as if something has ignited within her, a side of Kiara I've never experienced before.
