2 weeks since the Spanish GP

"Olivia Anne Thomas, I was beginning to think you'd disowned me" Lottie scolded me through the screen of my laptop. "I've seen you more on the screen than I've heard your voice in the last few weeks!"

"Ahh, my ever dramatic little sister." I said "I've missed you sis."

"Then you should call me more often! You know you can call whenever you need me Ol."

"I know Lottie," I sighed "Why do you think I'm calling you now?"

"Right, what's up?" Lottie asked me

"I just feel so... confused." I confessed to my sister "I feel like everybody else knows what's happening, and I'm the only one who doesn't, do you get what I mean?"

"Olly, I had a daughter at nineteen whilst the world faced a pandemic. Confused was an understatement, so I get you. But what are you confused about then?"

I sighed "It's Charles. It's me and Charles."

Lottie's face fell. "Shit, what happened?" she asked "Do I need to fly over to give him a kick?"

"No no, it's..." I hesitated "It was the other week. I think he wanted to... I think he wanted to kiss me?"

"Oh?" Charlotte said "Why do you sound so unsure about that?"

"I think I wanted to kiss him too"

"Right. Okay." Lottie said. I watched her through the screen, able to tell that she was thinking quite hard over this "So did you kiss?"

"No!" I said "Pierre came over and kind of broke the moment I guess."

"Oh I assumed you two were alone." My sister said, "Let's run this back, tell me the whole story."

I told the story of the day to my sister, explaining how Charles had tricked me into believing that he'd injured himself, and how he'd swung me over his shoulder.

"It was the look that he gave me, Lottie. I can read that man like a book, his eyes always give everything away. And I'm sure that he wanted to kiss me." I finished the story.

"But did you want to kiss him?"

"Yes?" I questioned "I don't know Lottie, do you go around kissing your male best friends?"

"No," my sister replied "But that's because most of them are either gay, or they're my brother, so that's a bit different from you. You and Charles are different Ol. You've been friends since you were tiny, you've basically grown up with him."

"Exactly." I said to Lottie "Charles is a good friend. He's my best friend. In a way, I see him as a brother to me. Which makes this conversation feel so wrong."

"Whilst he might feel like family Ol, he's not a blood relation, so don't worry." Lottie paused for a second, a thoughtful look on her face. "I think you should stop seeing him."

"What? Why?" I questioned, shocked at her sudden suggestion.

"Spend time without Charles." she said "When is your break from university? You could come home for a bit, spend time away from Monaco and Charles. It'll give you the space to think about your feelings, whether Charles is more than just a friend."

"Lottie, you're crazy" I said "And I should have told you earlier, but I dropped out of uni last month."

"Oh I know," Lottie said nonchalantly "Don't worry about that."

"How?" I asked, shocked. Katerina was still the only person I'd told about me dropping out of uni, and I was sure she hadn't told anybody else.

Lottie smiled "I've been stalking you on Find My Iphone. Book some flights and text me the details when you've done it. I'll get Jack to pick you up at the airport."

A/N: So I *might* have started working on a new book... I know it's probably not the best idea considering that I can barely ever get regular updates for the two books I'm currently writing on time, but I love the idea of it so much. Whilst it features themes that are apparently common in the books that I write, it's a plot line which I just absolutely love and have honestly enjoyed writing so much!

What do you guys think? Should I publish a new book? It would probably be posted around the beginning/middle of September, so that I have enough time to fully decide on the storyline and perfect the first few chapters.

Let me know your opinions, and don't forget to vote if you enjoyed this chapter!
