Wednesday, 5 January
"Hey Olivia" came the familiar voice of Giada as she entered my bedroom "How are you?"
I rolled over onto my shoulder, facing Giada who had laid down next to me on my bed.
"Charles told me everything" she continued, pulling me into a hug "I'm so so sorry"
"It hurts, Gi" I mumbled into her shoulder "It hurts so bad."
I let her hold me in her arms for a few minutes, comforted by the hug she held.
"What you need, Olly" Giada began, pulling out of our hug "Is a girly night in. Baking, pampering and binge watching that horrible british show of yours"
"Why does everyone hate Gogglebox so much?"
"British shows are an acquired taste" said Charles as he entered the room and sat down on the end of my bed "So, what are you two up to?"
"We," Giada began "Are kicking you out and having a girly afternoon"
"Rude" said Charles "But it gives me an excuse to go for a run I guess"
"Well, that's sorted then" Giada said as she clapped her hands together "You can go for a run, Charles, whilst Olly and I have some girl time. Then, when you get back, we can all spend the evening together. Okay?"
"Sounds good" both Charles and I said simultaneously, leading to us both cracking a small smile
"Great! Let's get baking!"

"Olly, have I done this right? It looks awfully dry..."
I looked up from my bowl at Giada, who was looking confusedly at her cookie mixture. Although we were both following the same recipe (we were making lemon drizzle cookies) Giada's mixture looked much drier when compared to mine.
"Did you put the eggs in?"
"Oh gosh, I totally forgot! Thanks Olly, you're a lifesaver!"
"No problem" I said, forcing a smile. "A lifesaver. If only I was..."

After we had put the cookies in the oven to bake, we quickly tidied away the kitchen before both getting changed into pajamas and putting on face masks. Not long after we'd put them on, Charles arrived home. After a lot of persuasion, we managed to convince him to put one on too, and even managed to crack a smile when Giada took photos of us.
Our small photoshoot was quickly over as the oven began to beep, signaling that the cookies had finished baking. As I took the cookies out of the oven and placed them onto a cooling rack, Charles helped Giada move all the pillows, duvets, blankets and mattresses from the bedrooms into the living room. They managed to organize what was essentially a large bed, using virtually every pillow and blanket they could find. I plated up some of the cookies, along with some strawberries and blueberries before heading into the living room to join them in watching the TV.

"So explain this show to me again?" Giada asked as I laid down on the sofa next to her and Charles
"Ooh ooh I've got this one" Charles said excitedly "So there's different families who watch TV shows, then they make a compilation of their reactions that we watch. Right, Olly?"
"Absolutely right Charlie, I'm glad my efforts have finally paid off"
