Nueva York
6:47 pm

It was a surprisingly bright day in Nueva York, since Miguel's universe takes place in 2099, it was normally cloudy or foggy due to pollution, but there were occasional days where the sky is clear and the air is fresh - today happened to be one of them. You take a deep long breath and allow yourself to take in the view of the white buildings that were sprinkled in this dense city.

Then, you got a buzz from your watch. You decide to go check out the sector it came from.

You walk around HQ, you were careful on your feet, considering you had nearly died just a few weeks ago, it was reasonable for you to be cautious. It wasn't only you who was, everyone had heard about how Miguel himself had to sweep in and save the day for you. Now, everyone was being extra careful around you as to not worsen your injuries. You greet some new recruits. You passed by the controls corner and Spider-Byte waved to you enthusiastically as she was tinkering with all the tech boards and mechanics, she had been brought here recently and seemed to be doing a good job, already helping improve the quality of multi-dimensional travel. You flash her a bright smile under your mask, the lenses on your suit curving into little 'n' shapes.

You had made quite a name for yourself in HQ, often being referred to as "second in command". You had no idea why, perhaps it was because you were strong? Sure you were on a similar level of intelligence as Miguel, but wasn't it a common theme for spider-people to be smart? Peter Parker, top of his class for 5 years, Gwen Stacy, also top of her class... probably not because you're smart.... Maybe something to do with you taking the most missions and being one out of three people allowed in Miguel's office no matter the situation. The three people being Lyla, You, and Miguel himself... However, you found it odd how fast your rank had increased in such a short span of time, you now had full access to everything, you felt thankful that Miguel put that level of trust in you.

You wander from the Controls Corner to the canteen...

There were spider people all over the place now. It seemed like every surface of HQ had at-least one Spider Person on it, whether they were sticking to the wall horizontally, upside down, or just suspended in air by their webs going about their day, it truly was fascinating. You look up in jealousy as you lacked what seemed to be a common skill amongst spider people, the ability to stick to any surface by your feet. You could only ever hang to ceilings like a monkey by your hands, swinging your body to create momentum to move your arms to the next place. You sigh and walk through the now somewhat less empty halls....

It had been about 2 months after you got recruited. Since then, Miguel had given you a run down of the Spider-verse, he explained cannon events, and showed you that you weren't the only one that went through everything... Knowing that May's death was inevitable, a huge weight had been lifted off your shoulders knowing it wasn't your fault. You may have also had a little crying session with Miguel....

——

"This, is the web of life and destiny." Miguel said as a string of white light grew from the ground beneath you. "The Arachno-Humanoid Poly-Multiverse."

"What a mouthful.." You chuckle.

"I suppose." He looks at you. "It contains a part of the multiverse where there was, is, going to be a Spider-person at some point in their lives. A beautiful web knitted by fate."

With a flick of his hand, the strings had expanded into bigger webs, each with a section where they met.

"These nodules here, are what we call canon events." He points to a web, on it was an extract of a Spider-person's life, show casing the moment he had lost his uncle.
