Chapter 22

Chishiya POV

The feeling of getting looked at never left, I let out a loud sigh making my way out of the store, how my luck hadn't run out yet, I saw a furniture store and quickly made my over to it. I was still limping but I tried my best to put up with it, when I made my way over to the store I heard steps behind me making me turn my head, yet I didn't see anyone, " This is getting annoying" I said with an annoyed tone. I turned back around ready to defend myself but continue my way to the furniture store.

As I got to the store I quickly got inside looking for a bed, surprisingly no one else was there. I quickly found one that looked comfortable, I put the bottles of water on the floor and flopped onto the bed, quickly passing out. I was suddenly awoken by a loud bang, making me jolt awake, I quickly sit up, the pain returning to my leg, I let out a sigh, quickly remembering the bang making me get up to a stand looking around.

That was when I see a shadow move in front of the window but only briefly and it could just be someone running, I grabbed the two water bottles on the flood and put them in my hoodie pockets, taking the water I had already drunken off in the hand, I once again walk to the back room finding a back exit and leaving though it. It was still dark, I grabbed my phone from the 10 of Hearts game and turned it on looking at the time, 04:43 am, "Great, at least there is no random game announcement. "But of cause, now it's the hardest game now, they really took it a step up, ill give them that," I said in a low tone mainly speaking to myself. I was still limping slightly but I could hide it mostly, I stopped in an alleyway for a moment, and I looked up in the sky to pinpoint the different Airballons and which game is where and how to stay away from the king of Spade.

I was about to go to a ladder that lead to the rooftop of a building as I started to make my way over, I suddenly heard someone run behind me, as I was about to turn around but quickly gut pushed hard against the brick wall, making me hiss shortly at the sudden weight shift on my leg. "Turn, and ill put a bullet through your skull." the rough voice from behind me said, and immediately I recognized the voice. "so you're the one who has been following me since the store?" I asked in my usually calm tone, "You fucking bitch. Give me one reason not to kill you right the fuck now." the rough voice of Niragi said making me let out a weak sigh, "Kill me if you want, I don't blame you." I said grabbing a bottle of water and reaching it out to him, making him glare at me, I couldn't see it but I could feel the glare. I turned myself around to face him making him glare at me this time, I grabbed his arm shoving the water into his hand. "your throat sounds like it could need it." I said an emotionless expression on my face, I turn and weakly limps over to the ladder starting to climb it, quite slowly at the pain my leg returned with every second step. " I hate you." I hear the voice of Niragi from the ground I looked down at him for a second. "I know," I say still monotone as ever. I do too.... I took a breath shaking my head, as I reached the top I walked over to the edge looking around at the air balloons. "So King of Diamond is at the court, The Jack of Hearts is at the prison, The king of Spade is still on the move, at least not this way-" Before my thoughts could continue I felt something hitting my head and a noise of a buttle hitting the roof, making me turn my head.

"Could you not?" I said in an annoyed tone." oh I am so sorry, it was a buttle get over it. But. YOU SAT FUCKING FIRE TO ME!" He shouted back, clearly angry and hurt, which instantly made me feel bad, why can't I ignore this feeling of the guild, it has never been a problem before, I'm really sorry. his shout kept repeating in my head, the words I'm sorry only coming to mind, yet I couldn't make myself say it out loud. I opened my mouth to say something but Niragi was quicker. "Nevermind, maybe people are right. I might have lost it. But you can really be heartless, and I think I'm starting to believe it." he said and looked back up at me.

My eyes went a bit wider, but not too noticeable. Normally people calling me heartless didn't bother me, but this time it hurt like hell, that was when I recalled every moment someone tried to get under my skin by calling me things and try bringing up bad stuff they didn't even know about. I felt all the feelings I'd put away from god knows how long resurfaced, and I took in a shaky breath trying to calm everything. Niragi heard the shaky breath and looked over at me with an annoyed and confused face. I really wanted the words I'm sorry to leave my mouth but my brain and my mouth did not surrogate. "I'm going to the Jack of Diamond, do with that as you please." I said getting up and looking towards the Jack of Diamonds, which was close to a school, I walk back towards the ladder once again before, I was able to go down Niragi grabbed my arm, making my head turn once again, "I can't believe I actually fell for you." he said before letting go.

Niragi started to walk away towards the other side of the roof, making me look away from him. "Ouch, but deserved..." I said not even above a whisper. I took a deep breath before getting over the edge of the roof and down the ladder, but before I went down I look over at Niragi, even tho he is too far away. "I'm sorry. I really am. I don't blame you for not forgiving me." I said and I started to make my way down, as I felt tears welling up in my eyes, I tried to ignore it so far it worked, taking deep breaths and feeling the lump in my throat slowly disappear. "God, how I hate those emotions.." I say to myself quickly starting to make my way over to the Jack of Diamonds.

After some time of walking I get to the school, but it's a climb beside it, I walk in and grab a phone just for it to ping, "Player limit reached, The game is about to commence." the usual AI voice said, before continuing. "Please walk into the main room up ahead." the Ai voice finished, I let out a sigh starting to walk up ahead, I push the doors open to reveal a girl with shoulder-length brown hair, round glasses, and a big smile on her face, I look at the phone seeing a wristband displayed, making me look around and my eyes landed on the table with a lot of wristbands, with a sign on the middle, "Two per person." I quickly read, walking over to it grabbing two of them applying one to each arm, turning, and looking at the girl, "take a seat the rules will be explained!" she said with a pep in her voice, I just did what she said and walked over to the table seeing a chessboard and sat down, as the phone pinged.

"Difficulty: Jack of diamond" the usual Ai voice started, and a screen behind the girl lit up showing the card. "Game is "Chess"

The voice stopped for a minute before it continued.

"Rules.

Once a player has entered they will have to wear wristbands following their well-being as well as show the player they dare. [well being: Pule, blood pressure, adrenaline level the basics]

All players must have two wristbands on.

It's GAME OVER if the game isn't over when the time limit is reached.

If the player persists to take the wristbands off, it's an automatic GAME OVER.

It's basic chess rules.

Once a player moves their brick, they will receive a "dare" they must do.

If a player wins the game, it's GAME CLEAR. The losing player, will receive a GAME OVER and be shot down with a sky laser."

"Let the game begin," The girl said with a smile.

When this is out I have left and probably wanna run because I have to be social BUT ENJOY! This is a short chapter but the next chapter will be longer!
