Chapter 29

Niragi POV

"What was all that in the prison?" I said in a stern voice wanting a response, Chshiya looked at me puzzled at first, and then moved his gaze to the floor when he realized what I meant, "You had a total meltdown, now explain." I heard a soft sigh leave his lips, yet his eyes didn't move from the ground. "I-" he started before stopping, I moved my index finger under his chin making him look at me, his eyes were glassy, with tears, as he took a deep breath, "my dad.." he started having my full attention, "He was always working, and if not working he was drinking... he was never there, I could probably have killed someone and he wouldn't care, so let's just say I was alone, and if my dad was there, it was because he was drunk and I made a sound, and he would scream at me." I saw a small tear run down his cheeks as he tried to hold them back.

I have never wanted to give him a hug more than right now... but I waited, "And if something happened, and let's say I started to cry, he would scream at me to shut up, or hit me mostly the second one, so I learn not to trust people, and keep emotions out of life, but I'm not heartless. I force myself to be." he finished looking down, he was slightly shaking as I pulled him into a hug making him freeze up, "I'm sorry " " For what? if anything I should apologize ""You may have burned me, yes, but I didn't know that my words affected you that much." "I mean I hide it, that's the point" he rolled his eyes with a weak smile, and I let out a laugh. "Okay, we are gonna find a place to stay, and you take a rest, I'll play a game, okay?" "Are you sure you are smart enough to win a game without me?" he said sarcastically, "Haha, very funny, I see you are back to yourself?" Once again the eye rolls.

I grabbed Chishiya's arm, and we made it over to a house, I grabbed the handle which didn't budge I lifted my lead kicking it in, as it quickly opened, and he walked in, "What game are you playing? "I'm taking an easy one likeeee, Jack of spade" "you should be able to survive that" "AH woah, thanks for the trust," I said rolling my eyes a he let out a breathy chuckle. "Hey, by the way, I'm sorry for burning you" "HEY! Shut up, I'm still alive, I'll be good!" With that I tried and started to walk the opposite way, I started to walk trying to find a game.

I'm pretty sure I saw the Jack of Spades somewhere around here. And a few seconds later after turning a corner, I found it, "EY! It's close! This should not take so long!" I said in a somewhat happy way, making my way to the big stadium before me. As I walk in I see way too many people for my liking and not many phones left I grab the third last phone bringing it up to my face as usual the phone shows I'm registered, and besides the phone, there are Apple Watch-looking wristbands. "Niragi?.." I heard a highly feminine voice behind me making me turn, to see a familiar tall girl with dreadlocks and her usual fake smoke in her mouth, "Kuina" "you are playing spade now?" "I mean not my preferred type of game but I can survive it" "Fair," she said with a small smile, "hey have you perhaps seen Chishiya I'm looking for him?" "I have indeed" "YOU HAVE?!" She said loudly making people look, "stop shouting," I said rolling my eyes, "she smiled, "Can you take me to him after we survive this?" She said with a hopeful glimpse in her eyes, "If we survive sure" "YES!" She whisper-shouting, making me let out a humph and that was when it sounded like the game was starting, "I could use a break..." "Hah, you me both Niragi, never thought I'd say that" "Haha very funny" "Chishiya has a good influence on you. Once again, never thought I'd say that" I rolled my eyes.

"Rules

Each player starts with 3 hours on the timer, The jack will have 2 hours.

Showing another player your time is prohibited, and the player will receive a GAME OVER.

Touching a player's bracelet is the only way to steal time, touching a player's body will not steal.

Touching a player's watch will steal 5 minutes, as you receive the 5 minutes, the player stolen from will lose the 5 minutes. If the jack touches a watch they will steal 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

Once a player is stolen from they will be immune for 5 minutes witch they cannot be stolen from or steal in the next 5 minutes.

A player is not allowed to steal from the same player twice in a row.

Violence is allowed, but weapons and killing will result in immediate elimination."

"There are currently 23 participants, Continue forwards into the stadium, the game will commence in 5 minutes"

I felt a hand grab onto my wrist and drag me towards the stadium, I looked to my side to see Kuina, holding onto my wrist, "I thought you didn't like me?" "I like you more than the others here, and I know you... somewhat. Just don't shoot me" "I'm not allowed to" "Oh yeah, thank god. But it would have been an easy game" "I'd wish it was so easy..." We sat in the far back, staying away from people, for now. "well, I like the concept of the game. "Kuina said, "you can knock people out and we still some time, or wait till they come for us," she said looking at me. "Both could work," I said making her smile.

we were sitting waiting for the game to commence everyone was practically silent no one said anything only weak whispers were heard, until "The game will not commence" and a loud horn was heard, and immediately everyone started to look around, to find people to attack, soon a lot of people looked at Kuina since she was one of the only girls currently.

"Come at me," she said in a threatening way looking back at them, "Hah, what can you do?" "That is just sexist," she said while rolling her eyes, "You might be tall, but what can the princess do?" the man said walking closer to her, "Niragi, I don't wanna waste my useful time on this thing.. can you please do something?" She looked at me with a smile as she turned the man was about to grab her wrist, but at this point, I was already standing up grabbing onto his wristband making him look over at me, "Well too bad, 5 minutes more for me" I said in a sarcastic tone, "What the hell is your problem?" "You? Isn't it obvious?" He ripped his wrist out of my hand making a smile appear on my face again, but more of the creepy kind of smile, "Can you hit him for me? I don't wanna break a nain?" without even replying my fist was clenched. My god have I missed this? I raised my fist quickly throwing it at the guy hitting him square in the jaw and making him fall back, "Warning sunshine, she will break your jaw" Kuina jumped in excitement putting her hand up to revive a high five and I met her with the high five, "Im starting to like you just a bit" I let out a laugh at her comment making her smile, "Let us beat this shit game!" "Let's do it!" I said somewhat enthusiastically.
