Part 13 - forever protecting you

~ ALICE'S POV ~

"How was your day?" Graham asks beside me once I sit down. I smile at him. "Fine.. you?"

"It's been good." He nods his head.

"Hey Graham." A girl named Alex says.

"Hey Alex." He smiles at her.

"You know how you we went out for ice cream the other day?" Not looking at them I continue to listen once I hear Alex talk.

"Yes?" Graham glances at me before looking back at her. This makes me look at them.

"Who was the girl you were talking to there?" She asks innocently.

She looks at me again before shifting uncomfortably in his spot. "Just a friend."

"You sure?" Alex asks again. He nods.

"Okay well then I'm sorry for interrupting you" She says looking at me and then walking away.

Graham clears his throat. "So what were talking about?" I raise my eyebrows at him.

"So you just take out any girl you can to get ice cream?" I ask making him laugh awkwardly.

"No they come to me." I roll my eyes fighting the urge to gage.

"Don't act like you didn't want to go out with me a couple days ago." He says making me laugh sarcastically.

"And remind me who suggested the ice cream date up again?" I look at him. "Hm?" I say making him go quiet.

"Remind me to never ask you again." He rolls his eyes.

"Gladly." I say turning around.

I never thought Graham was the guy to take out multiple girls at once. I guess I was wrong. Thank god I didn't go out with him.

"Why do you look all mad?" Luna pokes my cheek as we walk outside to leave school.

I sigh, "because I found out I wasn't the only girl who Graham asked out. But that's not even the problem. He was acting all stuck up and weird."

Luna smirks and looks up at me. "Why do you care so much. I thought you didn't like him?"

"I don't! He just gets me mad because he never leaves me alone." I roll my eyes. It's partly true. I don't really have a crush on Graham. I just like the idea that a guy finally sees me as for than a friend. But now I know it's for the wrong reasons. Which makes me uncomfortable and mad.

"Who won't leave you alone?" Miles says defensively.

"No one." I reply turning to Luna. "Goodbye I'll see you soon." She smiles and gives me a hug.

"See you later alligator" she pinches my arm before leaving.

Once I get in the car miles turns around in his seat to look at me. "If someone is bothering you tell me. I would hesitate to beat them up."

I laugh. "Everything's fine. If something wasn't I would come to you."

He nods. "Good. Now let's get home I am hungry."

Miles parks in the driveway and we get out of the car.

Once we're inside I can hear dad and Grayson yelling. I look at Miles and he tells me to go upstairs. Nodding I take my shoes off and begin walking up to my room.
