~ ALICES POV ~
Once we get home I shower. I quickly change into pjs and braid my hair.
Leaving my room to grab some water I see dad sleeping on the couch.
I ignore him by walking into the kitchen and grabbing my Starbucks cup.
Filling it up with ice and water I hear someone walk into the kitchen. I assume it's one of my brothers so I ignore it and put the lid back on the cup.
Taking a sip I feel someone close behind me. I turn around and see dad.
I try to back away but I'm already as far as I can go. My back touching the counter.
"What did I tell you about staying by my side the whole night? I didn't want to talking to any of them by yourself." He practically spits in my face.
"I'm sorry." I say softly.
But that doesn't stop him from grabbing my arm. The same spot he grabbed earlier today now throbbing.
I cant help it but whine from pain. "Let her go!" I hear Graysons loud voice from across the kitchen.
Dad throws me to the floor and I land harshly on the floor with a thud. Wincing to sit up I see Grayson take dad somewhere else.
I slowly get up from the floor and steady myself.
I stand there for about five minutes hoping Grayson won't come back. I'd rather be alone right now.
"Grayson told me to come check up on you." Owen walks into the kitchen. I take a sip of water avoiding him.
"Aly." He tries again.
I stand there for a second my back towards him. I take a deep breath and turn around. "I'm fine Owen. I want to be alone." I grab my cup and I start walking towards the stairs to go to my room.
I hear Owen talking but I ignore him and continue walking.

It's about midnight now and I'm starting to get hungry. I know I probably shouldn't eat right now but I can't sleep starving.
I get up deciding to eat something small like a piece of bread.
As I'm walking down the hall I can hear faint voices coming from downstairs. I stop at the top of the steps to hear who it is.
I hear Grayson and Harper talking.
"I don't know what's best for her anymore." Grayson says.
"It's like whatever I do doesn't seem to work. All I want is for her to be happy and all she is right now is everything but that." I can't tell who he's talking about until Harper speaks up.
"Grayson it's not your fault. Your father doesn't know how to parent his only daughter and you're the one who has to bare it. But you're doing a great job. Who was the one who helped her with her period? Who went out of their way to go homecoming dress shopping with her? Who takes her out for dinner when they have the time?" She says.
