~ ALICES POV ~
I don't know what to tell Ivan. I cant tell him the truth.
"Who are you texting?" Dad says from across the living room.
"Just my friends." I say lying.
"Which friends?" He asks. This makes Owen and Gabe who are also in the room look at me.
"My only friends." I say annoyed hoping he'll take a hint and leave me alone.
But he looks angry. "I asked who. which friends." He glares at me.
"Just Hazel, Luna and Eleanor." I turn my phone off and shift uncomfortably in my spot.
"Give me your phone." He gets up.
"I don't think so." Grayson walks into the living room and sits beside me.
"I'm her father I have the right to take her phone." Dad says sternly.
"No you don't. If you can't act like a father you don't have the right to be one." Grayson says back.
When dad finally sits down I get up from the couch. Gray won't let me be anywhere by myself when dads home but all I want to be is alone. Plus they're all watching him I'll be fine in my room.
"You're staying here." Grayson says as I get up.
"I have things to do I can't stay here all day." I say annoyed looking back at him.
"Fine, but make sure you're with Nolan." He gives me a nod and I leave.
Walking up the stairs I think about just locking myself in my room not bothering to talk to Nolan. But I know I can't do that.
I walk to Nolan's door and knock. "Who is it?" He asks.
"It's Aly." Within a second he opens the door.
"I'm fine chill." I roll my eyes. "I just don't want to be in the living room anymore so Gray told me to be with you at all times."
"Okay come in then." He moves so I can walk into his room. But I don't.
"I don't want to come in. I want to go to my room." I turn around and walk to my room.
"Aly I don't want to go to yours either." Nolan says annoyed from behind me.
"Then just keep watch of my room." I turn to look at him.
"I'm not going to stand in the hallway and be a guard dog." He crosses his arms.
"Well I don't want to be a prisoner who's being watched 24/7!" I walk into my room and lock the door hoping Nolan will at least consider leaving his door open. As long as his doors open maybe he'll be able to see if dad comes upstairs.
"Aly open your door." Nolan tries to open it a second later.
"At least keep it open so I can see you're safe every so often when I check on you." I walk to the door and open it.
"I'll check on you every five minutes okay?" He asks. I just nod turning away to sit on my bed.
He walks away as I grab my remote and turn on my tv.
