"Gyu-ah, I'm going to give you this locket as your birthday present," his mother said, looking at her son with deep affection. "Keep it with you even if I'm gone afterward, and when you find the girl you love the most in the world, give this to her, understood?"

Beomgyu, who had been gazing at the birds outside the car window, showed his mom a toothy smile and replied, "But the girl I love the most is you, Mom!"

Laughing heartily, his mother said, "When you grow up, you will find a girl you will love more than me, and when you do, promise me that you will give this to her."

Taking the locket into his tiny hands, Beomgyu opened it to find a tiny picture of him, his mother, and his father. Smiling, Beomgyu said, "Fine. I will!"

His mom then handed over a small box and said, "This is my second gift for you, Gyu. Once we reach the park, there will be a key hidden there, and you must find it in order to open the box and reveal the gift inside."

Giggling, Beomgyu took the chest into his own hands and nodded his head. He smiled brightly when his mom smiled back, but the happiness on his face soon faded when he noticed a truck approaching them from the other side of the road in high speed.

Beomgyu jolted awake from his sleep, his heart pounding in his chest. He was drenched in sweat, and his breathing was ragged as he tried to calm himself down. It had been months since he last had this nightmare, but it still haunted him. He brought a trembling hand to his chest, hoping to steady himself, but the rising panic attack was difficult to control. Tears welled up in his eyes, and he tried to wipe them away, but his hands were shaking too much. He glanced at the girl sleeping peacefully beside him, and for a moment, he considered waking her up. However, he knew how exhausted she must be after her intense practice for her upcoming comeback. He didn't want to disturb her rest.

"Beomgyu? Are you okay?" Minji asked, rubbing her eyes as she woke up, sensing something was wrong.

Without saying a word, Beomgyu moved closer to her and rested his head on her shoulders, seeking comfort and warmth in her embrace. Sensing his distress, Minji didn't hesitate to wrap her arms around him, holding him close. She could feel him trembling, but she didn't want to press him with questions. Instead, she just held him, offering her silent support.

Whispering quietly, Beomgyu said, "Can we stay like this, please?"

Minji didn't reply with words, but her actions spoke volumes. She brought him even closer and laid down, allowing Beomgyu to rest his head on her chest. Grateful for her comfort, he snuggled closer, his arms tightly wrapped around her waist. In that moment, they found reassurance in each other's arms.

As Minji gently ran her fingers through Beomgyu's silky black hair, she couldn't help but feel a mixture of concern and curiosity. She had never seen her husband like this before, so vulnerable and in need of comfort. But she also understood that he needed his space and time to open up about whatever was troubling him. Remembering her promise to Beomgyu, she decided not to press him for answers the next day.

In that moment, Minji made a silent vow to be patient and supportive, to wait for Beomgyu to come to her when he was ready to share his feelings. She knew that building a strong and lasting relationship or even friendship took time, and she was willing to give him all the time he needed. Her fingers continued to softly stroke his hair, and she held him close, silently reassuring him that she would be there for him whenever he was ready to talk.

The next morning when Minji woke up, she saw that Beomgyu was still asleep in her arms. Brushing away the piece of hair lingering on his face, she got up gently not wanting to wake him up.
