Chapter 1

Chapter 1:

"Cause baby now we got bad blood, hey!" I finish off the song smiling as everyone in the little restaurant claps at my little performance, "That was amazing! Zoey Jones everybody!" The host person says into the mic

"Thanks but I prefer Zoe" I say

He just looks at me and announces the other person performing, I lean my gutiar against an empty table right in front of the little stage area I sit down and watch a woman step on stage.

"Hi, I'm Barb I'm the next contestant and I'll be singing party in the USA by Miley Cyrus"

The music begins to play and she begins to sing, she's not bad but there's a few things that sound funny. "hello?" Some says
I turn and face one of the waiters "hi" I smile

"Hi I'm Stacy and I'll be your waiter, what would you like to eat?" She politely replies

"Just a chocolate milk please" I say

She nods her head and walks off, I zone out until the host person announces "that was great Barb!, The next person please join me on stage"

A boy walks on stage with a gutiar who looks about my age, he sits down and introduces himself

"Umm my name is Shawn Mendes and I'll be singing Say Something by a great big world" he begins strumming his gutiar and starts to sing, wow he is amazing! I was confident that I was gunna win this little competition but now I'm not so sure.

"Here's your chocolate milk" the lady says sliding the chocolaty beverage towards me I thank her and she walks towards the kitchen.

A few minutes pass and he walks off stage, "That was truly amazing" the host guy says

"Now the audience will vote and see who the top three is" he smiles before walking around the restaurant

I take a sip from my drink and I'm so scared which I shouldn't be but I am, I just wish my parents were here they never really notice me because I'm the oldest but I'm still only 15!

"The votes have been tallied up and we have are top three!" Host guy says

"In the top three we have 37 year old Trish Jean, 15 year old Shawn Mendes and last but not least 15 year old Zoe Jones" he adds

I smile to myself as I grab my gutiar and walk up to the stage and stand beside Trish

"The person in third place is ............. TRISH JEAN" he yells into the black mic.

Trish glares at me before walking off the stage and out the door, umm ok?

"And the two last contestants are Shawn and Zoe!"

I look at Shawn and he looks at me, he flashes me a smile before looking back into the audience. "The first place winner is..... SHAWN MENDES"

"congrats" I smile as I put my hand out for him to shake but he ignores it and pulls me into a hug, I awkwardly hug back until I let go and we kinda just look at each other "sorry for hugging you" he smiles at me

"It's fine" I say before grabbing my gutiar and walking to my table, I pull out some money and put in on my table to pay for my drink before walking out of the little restaurant.
