I woke up andwent downstairs for breakfast. It was 7 o'clock in the morning, so I thought that I would be the only one up, but when I got there, I was the last. Seamus told me that training would start at 10, and that I was to meet him in the living room at 9:30.
I ate breakfast, then got washed and dressed. I then made my way downstairs to meet seamus, eventhough I was half an hour early. Freddie was already there, but neither of us really felt like talking, so we sat there in silence, until Seamus came in.
He sat down opposite us and gave us our instructions for training.
"Make sure you stand out, at the moment you are roghly neck and neck with the others. If you want sponsors then neck and neck isnt enough. You have to get yourselves noticed, do something, anything, but make sure they remember you." He said. Freddie and i nodded in consent and we stood up to leave. Seamus lead us to a lift at the end of the corridor, which took us down to the basement where training would take place. The lift came to a hault, and the doors opened.
The room was dark, and lined with all sorts of equiptment that we would be using to train. Over on the far side of the hall, the rest of the tributes stood. In front of them was a woman that I never found out the name of. Me and freddie walked over towards the rest of them and the woman started to talk. She was telling us all sorts of statistics on methods of death in the arena, and telling us which station was which.
She eventually let us go and i went straight to the weights station, freddie right behind me. I'm not particularly strong, but I know i will need to build my muscles, to be in with a better chance at protecting Freddie.
Thats when i noticed them. The Gamemakers. Staring down at us, in their posh suits and slick hair. The head gamemaker, Marvolo Riddle, was watching us with keen eyes, paying attention to everything we were doing. For some reason, that unnerved me, so I didnt look up there again.
This went on for 2 whole days until training was over. One thing I had been dreading was over, but of course, this was just the beginning. Next was our tests, that would determine our training score. I was really nervous but Freddie didnt seem to mind.
I entered the hall and saw that the Gamemakers had come down to our level. I said my name and my city and did some agility courses. I swung on ropes and threw weights. I seemed pleased with myself, until, I heard the Gamemakers laughing. I didnt know why until I looked down, and saw that the weights I had been throwing with so much effort, were only 2 kilos. I was so embarassed that i left, regretting it later.
