7:30 AM.
Miguel emerges from an alley to walk on the streets of the New York on EARTH-222. He looks around and sees a sign, this New York was called Nueva Angeles. Every New York in every universe was a little different from each other.
After walking on the streets, someone catches his attention. He turns to look at her.
Miguel sees a beautiful young woman. He slowed down his walking pace, shifting all his focus to look at her.
It was as if fate had premeditated their surroundings for Miguel to see her.
She was in a business casual outfit, a black turtleneck with a black button halter top. She had fitted black flared pants with wedges. Her hair was half up half down, being held by a clip. She had on small hoop earrings and a dainty gold necklace.
Out of all the people in Nueva Angeles, she caught his eye. Miguel had never seen someone as beautiful as her.
She didn't notice him, how could she? They're in New York, in a sea of people going somewhere. Miguel noticed her because there was nowhere for him to be, no one to go back to.
She walked with beauty, confidence, and grace. She clearly had somewhere to be.
His eyes follow her as she walks into a coffee shop. He really wants to follow her. He's never people-watched a single person before.
Something inside of him is telling him to go inside. His gut was telling him he had to go see her.
No, no no. I can't follow her! That would make me a total creep!
He knows how creepy it would be if he follows her in the coffee shop but as crazy and strange as this feeling was, he knows he'd never forgive himself if he never saw her again.
Miguel had never been conflicted in this way before. This was all so new to him.
He tries to find a way to rationalize a reason to follow her into the coffee shop.
Well... I could go for some coffee right now...
Miguel takes a deep breath in, fixes his sweater and walks towards the coffee shop.
