The day I had waited all my life for had finally come. I stood outside his golden gate doors and rang the doorbell. I looked at the mailbox with the word Kennedy on it and smooth my fingers over the gold plating. The buzz sounds and the gates open. I looked around, ensuring I hadn't missed anyone or anything, but no one else was around. I make my way up the driveway and knock on the door. When the door opened, my heart nearly jumped out of its chest.

Abacus stood in a green shirt and black shorts, yawning as he ruffled his messy hair to the side. The shirt rose a little, giving me access to admire his muscular physique under all the shirts he's always wearing. I pout a little at the thought that he could have been blessing us this whole time by coming to school shirtless once in a while. I smack my thoughts and focus on why I had come here. Sadly, it wasn't to undress him with my eyes.

"Sorry Amelia, it was a late night and I'm just getting up. Football season is always filled with spontaneous training sessions."

"I didn't know you guys had to train yesterday."

"We didn't. I did. My dad likes to give me extra training sessions." I nod my head at his words. "Come on," he says and I follow without hesitation. I was like a lost puppy having found its new owner. I follow Abacus into the kitchen where a beautiful blonde goddess is standing before an equally stunning Greek god. I gulp at how lacking I felt in the moment but understood where Abacus got his looks from. His mom had the type of curve most would kill for, the tight-fitting tennis outfit. She had defining cheekbones and long curly hair that ended on her mid-back, with bangs scraped on the side. Her eyes were dark blue and alluring. His dad had a defined physique that could be defined through his tennis outfit, and a strong jawline. He had the same blonde hair but brown eyes. He gave me a smile and I noticed his perfectly straight white teeth.

"This is Amelia. Amelia this is my mom and dad," Abacus says. I wave at them as I feel my cheeks heat up.

"Come in, come in," Abacus' dad says warmly as he extends his hand to shake mine and places his other hand on my shoulder, pushing me a bit forward. I shake his hand back as he gives me another giant smile. He guides me to a chair on the island table and I sit down giving them an awkward smile.

"Hi, I'm Anastasia," his mom says. Anastasia Kennedy, I think to myself. The name sounded familiar. His mom looks at me and gives me a bright smile. "Yes. I am that Anastasia. The model." I gulp. Anastasia Kennedy was a very well-known name in this town and the world. She was a supermodel that was in a lot of fashion shows and commercials. There wasn't a store or company that didn't want to work with her. It was true, she was more breathtaking in person.

"Mom-" Abacus protested.

"I didn't say it to brag sweety. I could see it in her eyes. She knew she knew me."

"Well since we're bragging. I'm Nathaniel Kennedy, the football player who's won many championships," his dad beams as he straightens his posture.

"Dad-" Abacus starts again.

His dad raises his hands in surrender, "your mother started it, son."

"Well can we stop? You guys are making her feel uncomfortable."

"Are we?" his mom says in her sultry voice, "our apologies. We didn't mean to."

I give them another awkward smile and say, "no apologies necessary." I took a sip of the water Abacus had poured and left for me on the table.

"So Amelia. Tell us, what do your parents do?"

I was not expecting that question and found myself spitting out the water a bit as I thought about how to respond. Should I tell them my dad is dead and what he did? Maybe about my stepfather and what he does? What if they don't approve of anything? I was standing in the presence of legends and all my worries came out at a simple question.
