26. HEAT

"Obviously, my parents are going to arrange a marriage for me! I hope someone like Bright will arrive, but who knows??? What if the world's shittiest person arrives??" Zerry sighed, starting again. "As for Navi, the lucky girl. She got this hot guy courting him, but the bitch she is-"

"Should I give a damn about him? No." Navi replied, turning her attention back to the television.

"But I give a damn! It is high time we start living in separate houses!" Zerry complained.

"Oh, you are going to sleep outside tonight. Are you complaining that you cannot live with me?"

"I didn't say that! Then I won't ever give you a ride bitch."

"I will take a taxi-"

"Stop it, you two." I put an ending to their argument.

"And you!" Zerry started. "How did our friend suddenly turn into an omega???" she asked as a matter of fact.

"You are saying that as if you didn't know about it." Navi snapped at Zerry.

"W-what?" I stuttered. "Y-you guys knew???"

"No shit, Sherlock," they both said in unison.

"What the hell!" I yelled. "How? Since when?"

"Eh.. since some time, Win," Zerry said in a serious voice.

"Some time?" I asked.

"You see, remember my omega cousin? She's the one who told us about it." Navi said, shrugging it off.

We were silent for a few seconds watching the Disney kid's show.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked in a low voice.

"Well.. you were hiding, so we were actually waiting for you to open up.. but sadly, I guess you never trusted us?" Zerry replied.

"Why is everyone telling me the same old thing?? It's not like I didn't trust you. I was scared to tell. You do not understand, being betas, you don't know how hard it was and is for me." I complained.

"How hard is it? Anything happened?" Navi asked, munching on some chips.

I shook my head so she won't ask anymore. I didn't want to go over my problems again and again, but actually, many things did happen.

As for number one, it made me really happy how my parents-in-law forgave me for all the dirty things I did. They accepted me as their family.

As for number two... rumours started forming just after the day I went to pick Ma and Pa with Bright. Bright was rich and well-known, no doubt.. which made the situation tougher. He seemed to handle everything while I was having a really hard time worrying about his well-being.

As for number three, I got omega problems. Those insults, accusations over nothing and even aggressive customers at the cafe. I had to face those almost every day... but with my co-workers in the café, nothing 'really' bad happened.

I hid most of my worries from Bright because he became quite busy after his parents arrived. From what I got to know from him, his parents were training him to handle legal situations and so on, so they could hand over the whole business to him after a few months. Bright has been handling half of the company since he was twenty-three, as he told me, and he was already a busy person after I got to know more about him. It worried me again if he would even stay home after he became the head CEO.

I didn't want to live in a place like his childhood house. But for a fact, I knew Bright won't let that happen because he himself loved the privacy and quality time with me :)
