30. CRAMPS

"I am bored," I complained to Navi, who was texting someone on her phone.

Without sparing a glance, she mumbled, "Zerry will show up in a bit. Hang on there." She continued with her texting.

I sighed, picking at the tablecloth. We were seated around the dining table at home doing absolutely nothing. It was Bright who thought it would be a good idea to leave Navi with me when he left for a one-day business trip. I missed him so damn much that I thought he should have taken me with him!

And about this girl... well, she and I have been friends ever since, but our ideas didn't click that much. She was always silent and would talk here and there, and honestly, we never had anything to talk about. But still, we were friends, with Zerry completing our circle.

"I want the fucking thing called attention. Right now." I grumbled.

Navi flinched at my cursing and finally kept her phone down. All her attention was on me.

"Bright did tell me about your mood swings," she mumbled.

"I. Don't. Care. I am eleven weeks and three days pregnant while my mate is gone forever, leaving me alone in this damn apartment, all alone without any food or anything to eat! How bad can things turn!? I am starving to death!" I complained bitterly.

Navi's eyes switched and moved to the box of chicken wings in front of me. She stifled a laugh but failed, cracking up.

"You have all my attention now, Win. You can start talking," she said, resting her chin on the back of her hand in which her elbow rested on the table.

"Nice. So as I was saying, I have been-"

"I AM HERE! The queen is here!" Zerry barged into my apartment, yelling.

"The most important person in this world is here-" but stopped in her tracks as she trailed off, watching us with a sharp stare. Then she dramatically gasped, looking at Navi and me as if we had done something wrong.

"You betrayers! Having chicken wings without me?!" she yelled again and kicked close the door. "You greedy humans." and grumbled on. She was carrying around ten bags and dropped them on the ground before coming over to the table. Greedy as usual, her target was the food.

"Heyo," I replied, waving my hand.

"Heyo Win. Mind if I take this?" she asked and took the box to her without waiting for my reply. Just as she was about to open it, Navi snapped her finger, gaining her attention.

"You know it's his food, right?" Navi asked, trying to slap some sense to her.

"You had enough.. right, Win?" Zerry asked in a chillaxed manner, and her eyes shifted to my bump. "And my little Bubble here shouldn't eat that much unhealthy food. And Bubble's mother, Zerry, right here only wants you to have healthy food." she cooed, trying to touch my belly.

I slapped her hand away and shielded my bump.

"This is my Bubble. Go get your own Bubble." I snapped, anger rising inside me. And when I say in my pregnancy period, everything and everyone pissed me off.. it actually did to the point I found every single person so annoying!

Zerry looked at my pissed-off behaviour and shared a glance at Navi. Well... I was never the person who took her jokes seriously, but the hormones were really making a change.

"And this chicken is what Bright bought me! Get your own chicken!"

I got up from my seat and stormed into the bedroom, leaving the duo shocked. Mostly because the Win they knew never snapped at or scolded anyone.. ever... well... except with Bright.
