A New Adventure

Chapter 2

The next morning the team wakes up and packs their bags and continue deeper into the forest

"Char! Char!" Charmander shouts as he jumps off Sean's shoulder, running into a bush

"Charmander what are you doing!?" Sean hollers while jogging after his partner

Corey and Mike share a glance but then soon trail after the two fiery boys. Mike and Corey clear through the bushes and see Sean and Charmander squared up with a Joltik

"Ok Charmander, use tackle!" Sean cries

Charmander charges at the Joltik and lands a hit, knocking the small bug off its feet

"Alright! It looks stunned" without missing a beat, Sean hurls a pokeball at the flipped over Joltik encasing it in the pokeball. The ball rocks three times then finally settles

"A Joltik! Great choice bud" Mike says patting Sean on the back

"Excellent! Now you will have a strong electric type Pokémon once you train it up!" Corey exclaims raising her hand to high five her best friend

"Heck yeah!" Sean says completing the high five, "once Joltik evolves into Galvantula we'll be able to sweep through water type trainers and gyms!"

Traveling deeper into the forest, the team comes across a smooth stream flowing from the mountains.

"This looks like a great place for lunch" Mike says taking off his backpack

"I agree" Sean says taking out the meal packets he prepped before their expedition

Before the boys could sit down and eat, Corey is down by the water with Cyndaquil right behind her

"Corey! On your 3 o'clock!" Mike shouts

Corey turns to only be bombarded by a Buizel's water gun. Before Corey can collect herself, Cyndaquil fires an ember shot at the Buizel

"Cyndaquil, use tackle!" Corey says still on the ground

Cyndaquil lunges at the wild Buizel connecting its body with the Buizel's body. The Buizel stumbles but gets right back up and launches at Cyndaquil

As the two Pokémon exchange blows, the boys help Corey to her feet and both Charmander and Gible cheer Cyndaquil on

Cyndaquil lands a critical tackle and the Buizel flips back while landing on its stomach

"Let's go Quill!" Corey shouts

Before the Buizel could recover, Corey chucks a pokeball at the Buizel. It bounces off its head and then the red beam surrounds the Buizel. The pokeball rocks back and forth then settles

"Yeah! Buizel is now on the team!" Corey exclaims running up to Cyndaquil at the newly captured Buizel

"That's my girl Quill!" Corey says hugging Cyndaquil Corey picks up the pokeball with Buizel inside and opens it up

Petting Buizel's head, Corey says "Hey bud, great battle"

"Bui..." the buizel says softly

Corey holds out some Pokémon food for Buizel to try

"We're gunna be such a great team"

Buizel gives a little smile as he munches on the food

The team completes the lunch area and all of the teams' Pokémon are sitting on the blanket munching on their food

"These sandwiches are fantastic Sean" Corey says wiping her mouth with her hoodie sleeve. Mike nods his head with a full mouth

The crew cleans up the lunch area and carry along on their path
