A New Adventure

Chapter 1

Corey was getting her things ready for the biggest journey ever. Her path to become a great Pokémon trainer, she was gunna travel the word to find her dream team. She already had her first Pokémon, Cyndaquil. Cyndaquil was given to her from her late father.

Before she could finish packing, her best friend Sean bursts into her room

"COREY! You ready to get this show on the Road!" Sean bursts as he nearly breaks the door

Corey jumps at the sudden burst dropping her phone "Great Arceus! Sean! How many times have u nearly broken my poor door?"

Sean glances at the door, at Corey's Cyndaquil who's sitting on the bed looking directly at Sean then back to the door that had multiple cracks and dents, "not the point, you ready?! Charmander and I are ready to take on anything!"

Corey shakes her head while picking up her phone. "Yes Sean I'm ready"

Sean bolts out of her room. Corey giggles and picks up her bag and Cyndaquil, to walk after her friend who was engulfed in the Zigazoon zoomies.

After a chat with her mother, Corey joins Sean outside who's playing with Charmander. "Alright Sean, are we picking up Mike too or are we meeting him down the line?"

Looking up from playing with his partner, Sean replies "I think he's waiting for us at the center so we can all get pokeballs together"

Corey nods, waves back to her mother and walks with Sean to the center.

Sean and Corey arrive at the center to see their friend Mike relaxing reading something on his phone.

"Hey Mikey!" Corey calls out. Mike looks up to see his close friends walking up with their fiery Pokémon walkin beside them.

With a grin on his face Mike opens a pokeball to reveal a Gibble. "Hey guys!" Mike gets up to greet his friends properly while his Gibble waddles over to the Charmander and Cyndaquil.

Mike and Sean exchange handshakes while Corey gives Mike a hug.

"I'm excited to start this amazing journey with ya'll" Corey says with a big smile

"We are here to buy pokeballs to start our Pokémon journey" Sean says leaning on the counter

"Of course! 20 pokeballs for $15 is the sale this week" the clerk says with a sweet smile

"Perfect! I'll take them" Corey says placing a $20 on the counter

"Me too" Sean says

"as will I" Mike chimes in

The crew gets their pokeballs put away and head towards the edge of town.
Before the crew can get out of the town, they're stopped by a group of boys with evil in their eyes.

"Oi Dusk, look who we have here. It's little Corey who thinks she can go big with her big ideas" the taller one says

"Be a Beedrill and buzz off Scott" Sean says quickly
"Leave Corey alone jerk" Mike says standing beside Corey

"Oh what, Corey needs her body guards to protect her?" Dusk says nudging the third guy "I think she does. She's just that weak" the third says

"I'm not weak anymore Joey" Corey says clenching her fists "I'll prove it to you"

Scott chuckles and holds a pokeball, "then prove it freak" He tosses the pokeball and a Scyther pops out

Corey goes to call for Cyndaquil but before she could, Cyndaquil jumps over her shoulder firing a fiery ember directly at Scyther's face

As Cyndaquil leaps in, Charmander and Gibble stand in front of their trainers.

"Scyther! Tear that ball of fluff into shreds" Scott says with an evil grin

Scyther hovers above Cyndaquil and begins slashing. Cyndaquil moves with ease and hits Scyther with a tackle which knocks the Scyther back into Scott

"Yeah! Atta Girl Cyndaquil!" Corey says punching the air

"Yeah! Go Quill!" Sean cheers "Char! Char!" Charmander yells in agreement

"Go Cyndaquil! Beat that Scyther!" Mike calls out as Gibble happily wobbles beside Mike

"Let's go boys. We'll get this punk later" Scott says retracting Scyther back into its pokeball

The boys turn away and continue on their way

"Yes! Good job Cyndaquil!" Corey says running up to her partner giving her a hug "Quill!"

"We lost a bit of daylight, let's continue and gain some distance" Mike says picking up his Gibble

"I agree" Sean says putting Charmander on his shoulders

As the team sets off into the woods, a mysterious creature lurks behind them...
