A New Adventure

Chaper 6

Team Chaos arrives in Astera, home to the grass type gym in their region. It was midday and the team was getting hungry

Sean's stomach growls and everyone turns to look

"Hungry much?" Mike says with a chuckle

"Very hungry, that breakfast didn't last long" Sean says holding his stomach

"Well come on boys, a new town to explore and tons of food to eat!" Corey says grabbing Boots' hand

Sean and Mike give each other a glance and trail after the love Pidoves. The team walks around to find the perfect lunch

"You two go find something to eat, Mike and I will find a good table for us" Sean says with a wink

Boots nods and walk with Corey through the food stand strip. They both look through the options, not seeing anything that stands out to their stomachs

"Anything that you think the others will enjoy?" Boots says looking at Corey

"Well, Sean will eat just about anything, Mike isn't too picky but he's got types of foods he won't eat and I'm kinda craving something with spice" Corey says still holding Boots' hand

"Would you like to try the stand called Flame Grill?" Boots asks brushing his thumb over Corey's hand

"Um, yeah let's do that" Corey says giving his hand a squeeze

"Sounds like a plan" Boots smiles

The two walk hand and hand to the Flam Grill stand, enjoying the time with each other

"Hi! We would like to order 5 of your flame burgers with 4 sides of fries please" Corey says to the vendor

The vendor nods and gives his assistant the order ticket. Before Boots could pull out his wallet, Corey gives the vendor her card

"Not this time Bubas, I got this" she says with a smile

"Yes ma'am" Boots replies

Corey and Boots stand beside the stand talking about the gym battle awaiting

"I'm excited for the gym battle!" Corey exclaims while smiling at Boots

"Me too, Chimchar and I will hopefully sweep the team, if not I have Shinx and Starly" Boots says giving a gentle smile back

"Quill and Shinx will be gaining experience like crazy, Buizel will come in if needed, unfortunately his typing isn't effective agains grass" Corey explains

"Order for Corey" The vendor says holding a bag with her receipt taped to it

"Thank you!" Corey says taking the bag from the vendor

Boots and Corey find Sean and Mike sitting at a table in the shade both on their phones

"Grub time boys" Corey says holding up the bag

"Yesssss food!" Sean says snagging the bag from Corey

"Ey! Sean you have two burgers, calm down" Corey says flicking him in the arm

The team chows down, finishing their meals

"Good choice Corey" Mike says taking a swig of water

"You know how to pick food Core" Sean says still munching on fries

"Heh, I've known ya'll long enough to know what y'all like to eat" Corey giggles

Before Corey could get up to throw away her trash, Boots gets up and collects her trash

"Thanks Boots" Corey says with a gentle smile

Sean and Mike look at each other and smile

The team packs up and head towards the gym

"I can't wait to meet the gym leader, I hope they're nice" Corey says to the boys

"I hope they're ready to get the smoke from Team Chaos!" Sean cheers, clenching his fist

Chuckling, Mike gives Sean a pat on the back "you tell 'em buddy"

"Team chaos? That's such a stupid name" someone says behind them

The team turns to look at their antagonizer

"Scott..." Corey grumbles clenching her fist

"I see your picking up the scraps" Joey snarks pointing at Boots

Boots looks away nervously

"You leave him alone jerk" Sean says standing beside Boots and Corey

"Gunna put your Pokémon where your mouth is?" Dusk says giving Team Chaos a snarky look

"Three on three, diglett head" Corey shouts holding out a pokeball

"Team Dark, let's crush these skrelps" Scott says nudging Dusk and Joey

"I will referee this match" Mike says standing in the middle of the field

Both team members nod in agreement

Scott sends out his Scizor while Corey retaliates with her Cyndaquil

Joey tosses his pokeball out to release Seviper so Sean sends out Charmander

"Horrible type choices freaks" Dusk scowls sending out his Piplup

"Not on my watch!" Boots says sending out Shinx

The six Pokémon stare daggers into their opponents

"Team Chaos, since you were the challenger, you will choose heads or tails first" Mike says holding a coin

"Let's go with tails" Corey says with confidence

Mike flips the coin, "it is tails! Let the battle commence!" He calls out
