CHAPTER XIX - FEELING LOVED

"Morning bunny." Sunghoon was making some breakfast as I sat at the island, across from him watching him cook. "Morning." I scrolled through my phone before realising the date. "It's finally the 1st of December." I squealed checking the list of things I had planned out for December. "What's so special about December?" He handed me a plate of food before sitting beside me.

"Well for obvious reasons Christmas and New Year but it's also your birthday soon. 7th of December, no?" He shrugged and took a bite of his toast. "I forgot all about my birthday. It's not that important anyways." I ruffled his blonde hair, "Don't say that. It does matter." We talked and joked around for a little bit before getting dressed.

"Where are we going?" I asked and fished through the room to find something suitable. "You'll see when we get there. Just wear something warm." I gave him a thumbs-up and picked out a hoodie paired with some jeans. "This good?" He nodded, "Perfect."

"Can we hire a teacher? I don't know how to ice skate." I attempted to tie the laces of my ice skates but just sighed in defeat, leaning back into my seat and closing my eyes. "You've already got a teacher. Me." Sunghoon started tying my laces for me and I shot my eyes open, immediately sitting up. "You know how to ice skate?"

"Mhm, I used to do it professionally and did it in secret. My dad never knew but he found out a few years ago and banned me from the sport." Once he was done with my laces, we walked to the ice rink. "Oh, I'm sorry about that." He told me that it was fine and helped me to get onto the ice. Which was a disaster. I kept falling and my legs were uncontrollably shaking. "Hoon, I'm scared. I can't do this." My knuckles were going white because of me gripping onto the railings and my nose started to tint pink from the cold.

"I'll help you." He effortlessly skated in front of me and held my hands. "One leg at a time." He explained the movements to me and I slowly got the hang of it. "Alright, I'm gonna let go now." Before he could release his hands from mine I quickly tightened my grip on them, "Don't let go." He froze, "Okay, I won't let go." We kept skating hand-in-hand until I finally felt comfortable enough to let go.

"Hoon, I'm doing it." Just as I was getting the hang of it I fell and decided that it was best for me to watch Sunghoon skate. "Can you show me your favourite figure skating piece?" I asked Sunghoon as he helped me out of the rink. "Sure." He skated to the centre of the rink and started skating. It was beautiful seeing him effortlessly glide across the ice. His turns and jumps were perfect and complimented the smile that formed on his face. Before I could take in half of his beauty he was already finished.
