CHAPTER XXVII - MY LOVE FOR YOU

𝑳𝑬𝑬 𝑴𝑰𝒀𝑬𝑶𝑵 -
-one week later-

It's been one week since the incident but everything has felt normal. Wonyoung sent the CCTV footage to the police who are now looking for Mr Park. Sunghoon's family was now all over the news and everyone supported him after what had happened. The principal did find out about the spray-painting incident but let me off on a warning, and now everything is back to normal, except Sunghoon has been so busy with brand ambassador stuff and interviews so we haven't talked much since.

I was walking back home when I heard someone shout my name. "Yah Miyeon." I instantly turned around to see Sunghoon catching up to me. "What are you doing here?" Sunghoon clutched his chest. "Ouch, that hurt." He joked before standing up straight and continuing. "I came to see you. It's been a whole week since we've talked and I missed you."

"I missed you too." Sunghoon and I went to the park and talked for a while about anything and everything. "How did things go with your mother and sister?" I asked and saw a small smile appear on his lips. "It went pretty well, what about your parents? Have you visited them yet?" I sighed and he started to apologise continuously. "Sunghoon don't worry, I'm not hurt by what you said. I just don't know if I'm brave enough to go and see them."

"I'm worried that if I go to my parent's grave, I might not cry and they would be hurt by my reaction and feel as if I don't care about them."

"Bunny, they would never feel that way. I'm sure they would be so proud of you, just like how I'm proud of you. You've gone through so much and for you to still be here today fighting for your life is incredible. So let's go see them, hm."

I agreed and Sunghoon and I went to see them at their grave. It was extremely empty when we got there. The graveyard was really old, the gravestones were covered in moss and dirt and you could barely read the names of the people who had died.

After searching for a bit we found my parents' graves, they were put right next to each other. There were some dead flowers next to it and two necklaces hanging on each gravestone. It looked as if no one had visited them for a decade. "Hi, mum and dad. It's been a long time since I last saw you, how is it up there above the clouds? You know I've always wondered why it had to be me left alone in an orphanage, with no friends, family or proper lungs. I used to blame everything on you guys, but then I found out that you just wanted to protect me and you were willing to die for that."

I watched over the graves in silence not sure about what more to say, before plucking 2 daisy's from the ground and placing them over each of the graves. "This is my best friend Sunghoon. I wish you could be here to properly meet him, you would love him. He's kind, gentle, funny, quiet, caring, protective and really brave. I used to think I would never love anyone again after you guys left but then he came and made me feel again. Without him, I don't know if I would last any longer here."
