Chapter Three;

Pacing back and forth in her room, Hailey was exhausted, she had been discussing the conversation with Collin now for about an hour.

“Grandmom was fearless with them.” Collin stood by her open french doors over looking the well manicured lawn. “Man I thought she was going to take out swords and duel with them for a second.”

“Have you ever heard of this sleep walk?” she questioned him for the fourth time.

“Not that I can recall.”

“Or even this Silver Vardain council?”

“Nope, man Hailey your screwed!”

“Oh thanks for being the protective big brother here! Its going to happen to you dear brother also!”

"Oh by the way shed any skin lately?" he snikered.

"Haha very funny jerk face. Remember your next!" she made a face at him.

“Yeah, but you’re the one getting married.” he gave her a face back with an evil smile and when she didn’t respond he said less sarcastic, “ the thing is what are we turning into exactly, that’s the mystery dear sis.”

“I mean who today’s does this kind of thing?” she injected ignoring him.

“Yeah and what about Brien, he never told us anything about this change, wait till I see him. In fact I’m texting him, ”

He fell back onto her bed lifting his arms over his head pensively.

“Concentrate here, and Collin, this Kylier D is none other than the professional surfer you love so much on the water sports channel!”

He sprang up, his eyes lit up with this bit of news excitement written all over his face.

“Maybe your not so screwed after all blonde. I mean to be seen in his league and all, man the chicks are going to hate you! But love me!”

She rolled her eyes, they were the least of her problems.

“So lets see this necklace he bought her!” he snapped his fingers at her. Hailey lifted it up over her head and showed it to him. Collin stood up giving her a bemused expression, then taking the necklace dangling it with new interest.

“So, you meet this guy for like what a sentence and he buys you a necklace. Probably does it with all the chicks.” Collin dangled the necklace teasingly.

She grabbed the necklace back and made a face at him.

“So what was he like?” Collin encouraged.

“Alright I guess, pushy though, but not as bad as his sister.”

“Was she hot?” he looked like a kid outside the candy store.

She hit him with her pillow.

“What? Well was she?” he grinned back.

She chose to ignore his question, “More like out of your league disenchanted idiot. Beside you wouldn’t like her much she’s stuck up, more so then Gillian!”

Collin couldn’t help himself from making a face speaking like Gillian while batting his eyes ridiculously, “Me, stuck up, pleasse!” They both busted out laughing.

She jumped off her bed feeling weird and walked to the double french doors leading onto her balcony. The ocean was a balmy blue with stormy grey clouds sitting on the horizon.

“Storms brewing, great a wet morning on uncle Pete’s fishing boat.”

Collin rolled off her bed and stood up throwing her square fringe pillow at her.
