Hugo and Christiana sued Alexis and Primal Industries for keeping Charlotte hostage. Alexis was thinking about declaring war against the Winslow Corporation, and Lavinia watched her father think. "What are you going to do now? They've already sued you." Lavinia stated she was worried about the company and her father at the same time. "I'm thinking about declaring war on them, but I think it's too early for that," Alexis spoke. Lavinia never liked the idea of war, she used to hear things about wars in different countries and it terrified her.
Later that day, Lavinia went to her mother's residence. Her mother had married another man who had a lot of money, and Lavinia's parents had gotten a divorce when Lavinia was only six years old. It was hard for Lavinia to cope with, but she learned to deal with it as she got older. "I heard that they sued Primal Industries, what did your father do now?" Camilia asks as she crosses her arms she said that Lavinia was sitting across from Camilia, her mother. Her mother had served her and her daughter some tea to drink, Lavinia's stepfather wasn't home, he was on a business trip.
"It was a friend of mine, Father trapped my friend in a room and kept her there for a month and two weeks, she wasn't harmed. But she somehow escaped from the room by breaking the window." Lavinia explains, Camilia sighed, then took a sip from her cup. "Your father hasn't been the best father to you since we've divorced. I've always questioned myself, why did I marry him in the first place." Lavinia nodded quietly, she looked directly at her mother.
"I know, and it hasn't been easy for me either, I mean I'm an only child. So I guess that's that." Lavinia said somberly, she used to cry about her mother when they divorced. She remembered her mother leaving the courtroom without her, Lavinia screaming for her mother with tears falling out of her eyes.
"Now, who was that friend of yours," Camilia said she was curious who the friend that Lavinia had mentioned was. "She's from the Winslow family, you know, Winslow Corporation," Lavinia said as she took a sip from her cup of tea. "I see, Winslow Corporation, they're an international company that started with nothing. Up until now, two daughters have taken their parent's places. Emma and Sophia Winslow, is it one of them?" Camila said. "No, it's Hugo and Christiana's daughter," Lavinia said briefly. Camila looked confused, "Hugo and Christiana's daughter? They don't have children, it's only Julia and Fred Winslow, Wyatt, and Aina Winslow." Camilia voiced.
"Well, they kept their daughter out of the spotlight, they were pretty good at it, to say the least, she was the one who I had memories with. Name is Charlotte Winslow-Castro." Lavinia affirmed. "I see," Camilia said she thought for a moment. She spoke once more, "I suggest that you should apologize, even if you did nothing. She can't always be the one to apologize," Lavinia thought for a moment.
"I know, I just can't bring myself to apologize," Lavinia spoke, Camilia sighed. "You know, I never knew why I left you with your father, you're better off here," Camilia stated as she took another sip from her cup. Lavinia looked down at her feet, she felt like her chest was being crushed. Tears started to form in her eyes, and Camilia looked at her daughter. Small sobs came from Lavinia. "I'm so sad, that my chest feels like it's being crushed." Lavinia sobbed, tears falling from her face onto the carpet.
"I know that you're upset about things... I don't know what has happened between you and Charlotte... But I hope you both can forgive each other."
Charlotte sat outside, the small garden of roses and sunflowers made it peaceful. The wind slightly blew, it was still warm outside. October was here, it was fall. Charlotte had to catch up on her schoolwork, and she was halfway through all the assignments that she had missed. For the past month and two weeks, breaks were alright as long as she got back to work. But Charlotte felt uneasy, either she was paranoid because she thought that she was going to get dragged back into an isolated place.
