Champion. Gold. Division Athletic Meet and Regional Athletic Meet, under the sport 'Pencak Silat'. I was planning on pursuing it by going through Pre-National Qualifying Meet for Palarong Pambansa but decided against it.

I did not choose Taekwondo. I was already trained by my mother. Already mastered the basic and advanced techniques. Kahit hindi naman ako officially enrolled sa isang legit taekwondo class.

That time I preferred this sport, Pencak Silat, I was thinking that I wanted new rules and techniques. Yeah, the cutting techniques. I was also loving the color of the uniform. Black.

Kaia was one of the school athlete too. Her sport was volleyball. Their team got gold in Division Athletic Meet. Sa regional ay silver na lamang sila. May nangyari kasing awayan at isyu sa grupo kaya hindi nakapag-focus. Some sort of a boyfriend and third party problems. My sister was not involved.

Because of how athletic we both were, we became popular and known. Not just in our school in Madridejos, but in the whole town. Oh no, scratch that, the whole Bantayan Island.

Nakarating din sa social media ang iilang video at litrato ko habang lumalaban.

"Kalei! Look oh! May nag-post ng isang stolen picture mo! Kahapon 'to, 'di ba? Noong may tinulungan ka sa palengke dahil may na-disgrasya kaya nagkalat 'yong mga prutas ng isang lolo!" Kaia exclaimed. Excited.

We're currently in the veranda lounge of this house we lived in for five years. Kaia was sitting on the cushioned rattan swing. There are also comfortable set of rattan chairs and table.

I just got myself out of the pool and went to her, scrolling on her tablet. Yeah, this house has its own average outdoor pool.

"Sino?" Kinuha ko ang isang puting tuwalya'ng nakasabit sa isang upuan na hinanda ni Manang Sonya.

Pinunasan ko ang basang buhok habang pinagmamasdan ang kapatid.

"Arni. . . Acuaverde? Wait stalk ko muna," her feminine features of eyebrows furrowed whilst tapping on her tablet's screen. After a second, her monolid eyes widened. "Gagi, ang ganda at famous! Ang yaman pa! Mukhang kaedad mo lang. Ang yaman talaga oh! Madalas pa pinupuntahan niya ay mga beach! Nakapunta na rin sa Maldives! Anak din pala siya ng isang consulting firm! Ano'ng kompanya 'to? Pero ang yayaman!"

"Bakit? Ano ba'ng sabi sa post niya?"

"'Yong caption niya ay; 'Please, help me find this boy. We saw him in the Madridejos' wet market. My friend is dying to see and meet him again since we failed to approach him because of the mess. Then before we know, he already left.' Taray, English."

I snorted. "Ano namang ginagawa ng isang babae na galing sa mayamang pamilya sa palengke ng Madridejos?"

"Baka namamasyal! Ano ka ba, ang judgmental mo!" tawa nito at kulang na lang ay ibato sa akin ang hawak na gadget. "Ang daming shares at reacts! Basahin mo 'yong comments oh! Mga siraulo talaga."

Nilapitan ko siya nang hinarap niya sa akin ang screen ng kaniyang malaking mamahalin na tablet.

Binasa ko ang tinutukoy niyang comments sa tahimik na paraan.

'Miss Arni, kami pa po niyan. Respeto naman po sa relasyon namin.'

'Illegal 'yan! Nanghingi ba kayo ng permiso na i-post 'yong asawa ko?'

'Taga-Madridejos po ako, Miss Arni. Si Kaleidoscope Vargas po 'yan. Hindi po siya lalaki. Babae po.'

Sa huling komento na binasa ko ay nakita ko pa'ng kulay asul iyong font ng pangalan ko. That means the one that commented just mentioned me, and if someone tap my name? It would redirect them to my Facebook profile and timeline.
