JIMIN

Jimin's phone was ringing.

He opened one eye, squinting
as the sun hit his face.

He picked up the phone,
checked the screen and
set it back down.

Of course Ari was calling
to wake him up.

He loved her but she was so predictable.

He'd been surprised she hadn't called the night before to get details of his date in real-time.

Realistically, waiting until ten o'clock in the morning was admirable by Ari's
standards but still.

Would it have killed her to
let him sleep a little longer?

His phone chirped, alerting
him to a new text.

Apparently she wasn't giving
up.

Wake up.

I'm on my way over.

Typical Ari and then a follow
up text.

I'm bringing coffee...

Jimin grinned.

At least she knew him well enough to bring a peace
offering.

And honestly, he was pretty excited to tell her about Jungkook.

He'd barely had time to throw
on a t-shirt and pair of jeans before she was knocking at
the door.

"Tell me everything." She
said, shoving a cup of coffee
into his hand as soon as he
let her inside.

"Did you guys do it?"

"Really, Ari?" He asked
rolling his eyes.

"What, are you fifteen?"

"No, we didn't 'do it.'
Jungkook is a nice guy."

She shrugged. "I don't think those two things are mutually exclusive but whatever."

"Give me details."

Jimin smiled, which seemed
to his default expression whenever he thought of Jungkook.

He tried to tell her every
thing, from his nerves and excitement, to the first few awkward minutes with
Jungkook at the table.

"That's a good sign." Ari
nodded sagely.

"If he was awkward, that
means he's into you."

He was tempted to point out
her flawed logic but decided
to go with it.

And anyway, he was pretty
sure Jungkook was, in fact
into him.

By the time he'd finished up
with the kiss outside the
cab, Ari was leaning in
close, her eyes wide.

"Damn." She said, finally.

"Is this guy for real?"

"I know, right?" he replied.

"It was like a fairy tale."

"Standing there in the
rain, That kiss."

"God, why can't guys like
that live here?"

She sighed in agreement.

"Still, it sounds like you
had a good time."

"The best and I gave him
my number..." He winced, expecting her to berate him
for breaking one of her
cardinal rules of hooking up.
