JUNGKOOK

After Jimin left, he sat down
on the edge of the bed.

He was a little stunned by the situation, if he were being honest.

Not only was it totally out
of character to even want to spend time with someone he'd hooked up with from a club
but to actually wish that the person didn't have to leave
so soon...

These were definitely foreign feelings for the man who had made loving and leaving an
art form.

Shit.

He had to get it together.

A quick shower and a brief
phone call to Lau later and
he was at least beginning to
feel like himself again.

Lau had been distraught on
the phone, worried because
her long-time boyfriend had
been acting strange for the
past few days.

Normally, he would be able
to see her in person, give her
a hug and talk through her issues.

But being in Seoul meant that the comfort he could provide
was limited to hopeful reassurances over the phone.

It was a harsh preview of
how their relationship would change if he stayed in Seoul permanently but he tried to
push that thought to the
back of his mind.

He hadn't made a definite decision, after all.

And anyway, Lau's present
issue was more pressing.

By the time they hung up,
he'd at least convinced her
that her boyfriend probably wasn't cheating.

He had been around the
other man enough to find
that scenario pretty unlikely.

Unfortunately, he couldn't completely put her mind at
ease but she was at least
content with a promise that
He would take her out for
drinks when he returned to busan and if she was still suspicious of her boyfriend's activities, they'd come up
with a better plan.

Jungkook sighed.

Not that his own love life was
in much better shape at the moment.

He was walking around the
bed, picking up his discarded clothing from the night before, his mind involuntarily flashing back to images of Jimin's
perfect body, when something caught his eye.

At first glance, it was just a souvenir keychain, an
astronaut in a little white spacesuit.

But as he picked it up and
got a closer look, he almost dropped it in surprise.

The spaceman's suit was emblazoned with the logo
of a place that he was
very familiar with.

For the second time that morning, he sat down on the edge of the bed in stunned silence.

Except this time, he was
flooded with memories of
his first date with Taehyung.

He could still remember the breathtaking view of L.A
with the Hollywood sign in
the distance.

What was something from the observatory doing in his
hotel room floor, though?

He hadn't brought anything
like that didn't even own anything like that.

He blinked, unable to process how something from his past
had ended up so randomly
in his present.

Unless maybe it was Jimin's.

Jungkook shook his head.

That didn't make sense
either.

He looked up at the ceiling,
half-expecting to see a sign
from God.
