JUNGKOOK
Eight Months Later
Jungkook watched for a minute
with a bemused look as
Jimin fussed with his tie.
No matter how many times
over the last eight months
he'd reminded himself that
he wasn't dreaming that he
was in fact, dating the
beautiful man in front of
him there were still little moments when the sight of
Jimin would take his breath away.
Seeing him in a suit definitely qualified as one of those moments.
"Let me help you with that, baby." He said finally moving
to intervene just as Jimin
was untying the jumbled knot he'd made around his neck.
"I always mess these things
up the first time." Jimin said, grinning sheepishly as his
cheeks flushed pink.
Jungkook winked.
"You're lucky I'm here
then."
He leaned in for a quick kiss before deftly adjusting the tie.
"It's really just a matter of starting with the right amount
on each side, like this."
Jungkook had worn a tie for enough years that his hands moved almost mechanically, even though his eyes never
left Jimin's face.
Even after spending nearly
every day together for almost
a year, just a smile from Jimin was enough to turn him on.
For a moment, Jungkook considered undoing his handiwork and stripping
Jimin's clothes right off.
Maybe Lau wouldn't notice
if they were a few minutes
late to the wedding.
He almost laughed at his
last thought.
She'd been planning this
day for months.
Literally every detail had
been pored over, discussed countless times and was
timed to the second.
If he and Jimin weren't in
their designated places at
the designated time, Lau
would know and there
would be hell to pay.
Jungkook finished knotting
the tie and took a step back
to admire the man standing
in front of him.
"How did I get so lucky?"
It wasn't until Jimin blushed
a darker shade of red that
Jungkook realized he'd
spoken the thought out loud.
"I think we both got
lucky." Jimin said and smiled, walking over to his suitcase.
"And speaking of luck, look
what I brought."
He held up the small keychain he'd borrowed from Ari all
those months ago, the night
he and Jungkook first met.
"What made you bring
that?" Jungkook asked with
a chuckle.
"I thought it had already
worked its magic."
"It brought me you, after all."
"I can't think of anything
that would top that."
"I don't know." Jimin
shrugged.
"You can never have too
much good luck."
"It just seemed appropriate, somehow, since we were
coming here for a wedding."
"And also, I thought it would
be nice if we could go there,
you know, together."
He shoved the astronaut figure
in his pocket as he walked
back into the bathroom.
