His face looked calm, although his heart was still in deep pain. He was listening to his father, who was confused about how his warehouse had burnt down. In addition, he could not detect the cause. His annoyance grew when he found out that his prisoners were also burned. Though, he thought.

Luna looked upset. She massaged her temples lightly. She thought she had made sure that the torch was completely snuffed out.

"I'll be going first," Yeonjun said suddenly.

"Where are you going?" Donghyuk asked as he raised his tone without realizing it.

Luna hit his arm. Instantly the man came to his senses and took a deep breath and exhaled.

"Forgive me Yeonjun... where are you going, son?"

"I have to meet with the head of the palace guards, Lim Shin Hyuk," he answered casually and left.

"What's wrong with that kid? He's being so cold to me lately." Donghyuk wondered.

He sat down next to his wife. Luna, who had also sensed Yeonjun's change in demeanour. But she could only shrug her shoulders. She didn't want to be a bother.

As mentioned, Yeonjun was currently facing Lim Shin Hyuk. The man was staring intently at him. But the one being stared at looked indifferent. He knew that the vampire in front of him had an intense hatred for him. How could he tell? Simple, the look on the man's face clearly expressed his thoughts.

"You, as the battalion commander should be moving more swiftly to organize a strategy. From what I see, you seem to be neglecting your duties." Shin Hyuk said sarcastically.

"Sorry, just get to the point. What do you want?" he asked flatly.

Shin Hyuk, of course, got angry, he pulled Yeonjun's jacket collar and looked at him fiercely. He didn't like his attitude which was overly arrogant, in his opinion.

"Don't be so pretentious Choi Yeonjun! Listen, I'll prove to that old vampire that I'm better than you!" He slammed him hard then stomped off. Yeonjun snickered and walked away.

Yeonjun walked through the long corridor. However, his steps were halted when his eyes caught sight of the vast expanse of lavender flowers. A rush of wind caused the scent to spread till it captured the young man's attention. All of a sudden, the feelings that were initially complicated turned calm. A faint smile was etched on his face.

"Thank you, Beomgyu hyung..."

For a moment, he thought. It seemed like he was missing something.

"Soobin..." he whispered.

He quickly stepped out and drove off on his big motorbike. Honestly, he didn't know where to go. Yeonjun just followed his instincts.

He travelled for about two hours. He stopped at a rather quiet residential area. The houses looked like rural tribal buildings. Made of piles of wood with a roof of dry leaves arranged neatly and sturdily.

His radar sensed danger. His gaze circulated in all directions.

"VAMPIRE!!!" Shouted a boy who was running.

Immediately, both grown men and women appeared, their faces fierce. Hot steam began to emerge from their bodies. Without a signal, they began to attack him. The place that looked deserted at first now began to get crowded.

The young man did not make full use of his ability. Besides wasting energy, he also had no intention of hurting the werewolf pack. One against hundreds? How unfair.
