After Rain

The roots of the tree again twisted violently and began to attack him. Yeonjun's body was hit hard. His chest was cut by a slash. Suddenly Kibum approached him and beat him to a pulp. He tried to make Yeonjun fall into the fiery pit.

With what energy he had left, the young man tried to fight back. But unfortunately, Kibum was skilful and much stronger. Without thinking, he used his brawny arms to drag the body and successfully drowned Yeonjun in the molten hot lava.

"NOOOOO!" Soobin cried out loud. He tried to break the barrier, but his efforts were in vain. His tears fell. Kai collapsed limply and his eyes began to weep.

"YOU SON OF A BITCH! FUCK YOU!" Soobin roared angrily, no longer caring about the pain in his body.

Kibum ignored all the young man's swearing. He stared straight into the pool of boiling hot liquid.

He arrogantly stepped closer to Taehyun's side. The man seemed to have come to his senses. He looked at Soobin who was roaring angrily.

"It's your turn." Kibum tried to smash the barrier repeatedly with his large tendril.

CRACK!

Small cracks formed. Taehyun was willing to resign himself to losing a second time. He grasped his lover's pendant tightly and closed his eyes as if to fall asleep.

But, suddenly he seemed to be drawn to something. Taehyun moved by himself. He was certainly surprised to find his body carried away to such an unfamiliar location. And again, his right leg was still there. What was going on?

He walked around the place with a bit of caution. He had to admit, this place was very beautiful. Was this heaven? Was he dead? His fingers fiddled with the petals of a flower that was blossoming and wafting its sweet fragrance. It was so quiet here. Taehyun felt comfortable.

"How are you... Taehyunie?" His steps stopped instantly. His body froze, not even his eyes flickered. His brain was trying to process.

"Why are you silent?" He asked again, hearing the sound of steps approaching from behind. Taehyun still didn't move, but his body trembled slightly and his face heated up.

A pair of arms wrapped snugly around his waist. Lavender mixed with musk, Taehyun remembered very well who had this distinctive scent. He slowly turned his body around. His chest thumped tightly when he found out who it was. He smiled very sweetly. His long mane was swept by the wind, and it made him look even more beautiful. Then, looked at the deer-like pair of eyes.

"G-Gyu?" He stammered. Tears began to fall down his thin cheeks.

"Hmm, it's me. Choi Beomgyu, your lover." He said smiling until his eyes formed a crescent moon.

Taehyun immediately rushed to return the beautiful young man's hug. The hug was so tight, it proved how much he had missed him all this time.

"Gyu... Beomgyu, I miss you... I love you," Taehyun gave Beomgyu's lips and cheeks butterfly kisses alternately.

The beauty laughed with amusement. When Taehyun kissed him again, he held the nape of the man's neck and gave him a small lick in return.

The link was broken after struggling for a while. Beomgyu looked very beautiful in a white dress-like outfit with a faintly shimmering blue gradient, he gently stroked the long mane and inhaled the scent.

"We're together again, Gyu..."

Beomgyu looked deeply at the man, then shook his head. Taehyun was confused.

"Just for a while, baby."

"Why? Don't you want me anymore?" Taehyun asked sadly.

"No, that's not it. Listen to me Taehyunie... it's not time yet. You still have a lot to do in your life..."

"But--"

"Shhh... even though I'm not next to you in real life, that doesn't mean I'm far away. I'm here..." Beomgyu placed his hand on Taehyun's left chest.

"My love... I want you to witness the realisation of my dreams. I want you to be happy, Kang Taehyun--"

"Also, don't you want to see those two young men standing holding hands intimately? They represent both of us, Hyunie..." He added in a soft tone.

Taehyun was stunned for a moment. He was locked tightly by the beauty's jet-black eyes. Beomgyu smiled and hugged him back.

"I love you, Kang Taehyun... always. See you later, baby."

Beomgyu's words concluded the brief illusory encounter. He returned to consciousness. There, he saw Kibum still trying to destroy the shield.

CRACK!!!

After some time, Kibum managed to break the barrier. However, at the same time, there was a very loud bang.

The lava exploded and scattered its contents burning the trees and plants around. A long burning tendril moved quickly to bind Kibum's body. He struggled and rebelled. His skin peeled off. Taehyun distanced himself, feeling that it would be too dangerous.

"Damn it!" Snapped the vampire with anger.

Yeonjun's figure returned, his body a black silhouette with flames enveloping it. Both of the young man's eyes were glowing red.

"Go back to where you came from..." Yeonjun said in a heavy voice.

After saying that, Yeonjun's fiery tendril wrapped tighter around Kibum's body and a round hologram with curved lines that resembled lilies supported Choi Kibum's body.

The man cried out in pain as a blinding white light appeared and slowly turned his body into stone. The cracks of Yeonjun's tendril hardened and crushed him. The splinters turned into smaller flecks of fiery blue colour which then flew away in the wind.

The hybrid vampires who were still engaged in the attack instantly fell to the ground and burned to death. Haru and his troops who were busy firing ammunition were shocked. So were the civilians.

Amidst the chaos, a miracle appeared. Waves of aurora rushed beautifully in the sky followed by the reconstruction of buildings destroyed by the battle. Everything returned to normal as if nothing had happened. And the scattered human remains turned into white goose feathers that flew away and disappeared behind the clouds.

Meanwhile, the enslaved vampires lost their way. Those who were not strong decided to commit suicide to catch up with the master. And for those who were mentally strong, their memories of being human gradually recovered. Their identity changed from slave to alter or in other words, they were free vampires.

Soobin and Kai's shield slowly disappeared, without thinking the bunny-like man ran towards Yeonjun who returned to his original form. His pink hair was no longer visible, replaced with a golden-silver colour. He looked a little dazed.

Soobin immediately hugged him tightly and checked on his lover's condition.

"I thought I'd lost you, Jun!" He said worriedly. Yeonjun chuckled and returned the hug.

The surviving werewolves slowly transformed back to their original form. A feeling of relief came over them. They laughed happily.

"Uncle Kang!" Kai called out. He helped the man to stand up. His beady eyes looked at the members who were celebrating. He chuckled amusedly.

"We did it!" He shouted loudly which was greeted by howls.

Soobin and Yeonjun walked over to the group. Taehyun hugged Yeonjun and then kissed both his cheeks in turn. The two looked at each other for a while.

"Let's make Prince Beomgyu's dream come true..." said the alpha male to which Yeonjun nodded enthusiastically.
