Monday morning, the main day and time of the week everyone in the world equally hates. I have to literally pry my eyes open and drag my tired body out of bed and into the bathroom this morning. The weekend has been chaotic, but productive, McKenna and I have found out a lot of information about possible abilities, as well as some interesting facts about werewolves, that could help me figure this all out.

I'm still confused about all of this and it worries me constantly that I could accidently hurt someone if I lose control but I'm hoping with more research and McKenna's help I'm going to be able to control this.

Once inside the bathroom I shut and lock the door behind me, then make my way over to the sink splashing cold water on my face. The refreshing feel of the cool water on my face instantly wakes me up as it drips down my cheeks and off my chin back into the sink. I grab my toothbrush and add some toothpaste before brushing vigorously, cleaning away the sour taste in my mouth and any plaque that may have built up over night.

After having a quick wash down in the shower I make my way back to my room dressing myself in a pair of jeans and a shirt. I really can't be bothered to go to school today, it just seems so pointless with everything that's going on with me at the moment.

A strong delicious scent fills my nostrils kicking my feet into gear. I skip at a somewhat normal speed out my room, downstairs and into the kitchen where I find my dad whipping up a batch of his yummy pancakes.

"Smells good," I compliment

"I knew this'd get you downstairs, such a powerful sense of smell."

I shrug it off as my dad knows nothing apart from the fact that I've always had a good sense of smell. I take a seat at the kitchen table pouring myself a glass of orange juice while I wait for dad to dish me up some pancakes.

I gulp down half my glass of juice while dad sets down two plates of pancakes on the table. Just as I go to pick up my knife and fork to dig in, my phone vibrates in my pocket signalling I have a text. I quickly pull my phone out my pocket reading the message which is obviously from McKenna, no one else would text me this early in the morning.

From McKenna;

School is going to be soo long today, don't want to go! Be at yours soon, luv ya x

I don't bother replying as she said she'd be here soon so instead I slip my phone back in my jean pocket and chow down on my pancakes before she arrives. Dad watches me from the other side of the table in amusement at my eagerness to finish my food.

"You'll give yourself a stomach ache," he informs me

"Kenna will be here any minute, can't keep her waiting," I tell him and he nods

I just finish my last mouthful of deliciousness when there's a knock on the door, I don't bother to clean away my empty plate instead I jump up from the table, wave goodbye to my dad and rush to the door picking up my bag on the way. I fling open the front door and step out slamming it shut behind me.

"Hey."

"Hi," McKenna half smiles, she hates Monday's even more then I do.

"Why so miserable?"

"It's Monday, do you expect me to be happy?"

"Touché."

"So do we really have to go to school today?" McKenna asks pulling the puppy dog look, she does this to me all the time, begs not to go to school on Monday's and normally I would say we have to go and we need our education but at the moment I have other things on my mind.
