I'm still in shock after everything that's happened, it's been a couple days and still mum is not improving. Cole has not left her side apart from to let the pack know what's going on with her and from what I've heard it's not looking good. There's no improvement in her wounds, she's still not healing and her blood has turned black, I'm not sure quiet what that means but it can't be good.

I've not left Tanner's house since everything either, call it shock or whatever but I just don't want to face anyone right now, I killed someone, I don't think I'll ever get over that!

"Bree are you ever going to come out of there? It can't be fun looking at the same four walls for yet another day," Tanner calls through the door.

"It's only been 2 days!" I shout back in a defensive tone

"And if you ask me that's 1 day too many, you have to get over this, so you killed someone, it was bound to happen sooner or later."

"I'd rather later," I mumble to myself

"Please Bree, just come out, even if it's to have something to eat then you can go back to shutting yourself away if you really have to."

I let out a long sigh, I am rather hungry, not eating for a couple days is like not eating for a week for me. Giving in to the temptations of food I pull myself off the bed and open the door to find a smirking Tanner on the other side.

"That's more like it."

I walk passed him and into the living room to find a plate of buttered bread, nothing fancy or extravagant but enough to make my mouth water. I didn't realise how hungry I was until now. I don't even sit down before my mouth is full and I've got butter on the side of my face.

"Wow you were hungry," Tanner chuckles

"Shut up dick," I reply spitting food as I try to speak.

"Hey I'm only stating the truth," he laughs again, he can be such a dick at times.

Ignoring the chuckles in the background it takes me minutes to finish the bread and butter, at this moment in time I don't think I can remember anything that ever tasted so good.

"Now I have you out of your room I wanted to ask you something," Tanner speaks up in a more serious tone.

"Oh yeah, what's that?"

"I erm, I wanted to ask.."

"Well spit it out, anyone would think you were nervous," I laugh at his stammering.

"Do you wanna go out with me?"

It comes out so quick that I almost didn't catch what he said

"Are you asking me out?" I ask and he nods shyly, I have never seen him look so nervous since living here.

I'm kind of shocked, yes I've had a crush on him since I got here and he's been so nice to me, but if I accept this date will it ruin things between us, he's like the only real friend I have here.

"Oh I don't know Tan!"

"What's not to know? I thought you liked me?"

"I do like you, I mean you're alright," I correct myself as not to sound too desperate. "I just don't want to ruin what we've got."

"Who said it's going to ruin it, all I'm asking is for one date, if you don't enjoy yourself then we'll stay friends, if you do then we'll see what happens," he replies with a little more confidence.

I pause and think about it for a second, he could be right, I could enjoy myself if I accept this date with him and if it doesn't go well then we can stay friends, I guess I might as well give it a chance.
