SASKIA'S POV
"Tsk. You're no angel, but why?"
I couldn't answer him because I was also lost for words, he let go of my hand and stepped backward, "You owe her this." He was talking to Sky and Sky immediately stood up while wiping his face.
He lightened up a little and I continued walking downstairs.
"Saskia, wait."
I was able to get a ride already when Sky caught up on me. He hopped on the taxi and I don't know if I should too?
"Hop in."
I just nodded. He told the driver the directions and I thought we were headed towards the port but I was wrong because we stopped by the sea bay.
"Come on." I just followed him until he stopped by the railings and jump up. "Here, I'll help you."
He showed me his hands and I took it. We sat down and no one dared to speak among us.
"Thank you!"
I was shocked, Is this really the Sky that I knew, the man who threatened and stabbed me? I looked at him but he was not looking at me but at the sea. I lightly punch his shoulder and he looked at me.
"I didn't know you're capable of such thing." He raised his eyebrows. "Gratitude?" He laughed a little but I know he's hurting inside.
I reached for my bag and remembered that I have a band aid here. I reached for his face and he was taken back, "Stay still." I placed the band aid on his busted eyebrow. I only noticed his busted lips yesterday.
I was frozen when I noticed that he was looking at me intently, I looked away and let the breeze from the sea consumed me.
"You had your haircut."
Oh! He noticed. I just nodded and again we were quiet.
"Kira," I looked at him but again he was looking at the sea, "Her name's Kira." I wanted to answer back but I can't find the right words to express what I want to tell him. "I didn't even know she was back," He smirked and brushed his hair. "I was the one who's always there for her but she always chooses him." Oh Sky! "You know what she told me earlier?" His voice cracked, "She only wants him. She only wants Aki,"
"How about me? Will I just wait and hope that one day she chooses me too? That one day she'll look for me too and not him."
I reached for his back and caressed it gently trying to tell him that I understand. This time he sobbed.
"Sht! If you only saw how she lightened when she saw him, I don't even know if she noticed me leaving." He wiped his tears and continued. "I want her to show me that smile too whenever I enter her room but everytime I do, she just looks for him."
I let him be for I don't know how long but the sun is about to set and I had the idea to help him forget, just for today.
"Promise me you won't stab me even just for today." He laughed and I can't help but smile because that is the most genuine laugh I heard from him ever since we met. "What?" He emptied his pocket showing me that he doesn't have a knife with him today. "Let's go!"
I grabbed his hands and ran towards the taxi lane. I showed the driver my phone to tell him where we are headed and I guess he understood.
"The mall?" I nodded my head and immediately went down the taxi, "You know you have to pay whenever you use a taxi." My eyes grew big and I immediately looked for my wallet, sheesh! This is embarrassing. "I already paid," I just noticed that the taxi was long gone and he was smirking at me.
