SASKIA'S POV
"Where have you been?"
I looked at Shana and for the Nth time i'm rolling my eyes here.
"Shana please, give it a rest."
"Not until you tell me the truth."I facepalm and just took a bite of my sandwich. She's been pestering me ever since I got here this morning.
"Why is that girl with you then?"
Aunt Ava took me to school this morning and she saw us, she knows my aunt and she kept bugging me ever since.
"What is it with her? Do you know her?"
She shrugged but I can feel it. She knows something about my aunt.
"If you won't tell me then I won't share as well."
She sighed and started opening her mouth but she kept it shut again. She held my hand and sighed again.
"Promise me, you won't freak out?"
I shook my head and then she grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the girl's dormitory.
We got passed the 3rd floor and headed to the 5th floor. I guess this is where her room is.
"Did you really came here clueless?" I unconsciously nodded my head, "Sas, this is not an ordinary school. People are dying here, not just Margo, after Margo, 2 more went missing the weekend before you disappeared and until now their bodies are not found."
I gasped and wondered if they were involved in that ball.
"Who were they?"
"They're seniors." She took my hand, "You must leave now, after the prelim exam, the game will commence and you will never be able to get out."Game?
"What game?"
"The game of life," My eyes grew big and my heart started beating fast, "The school was built to protect and train the children of the Mafia Community, every year during the event, the mafia gathers here. It's like a recital but the lives of their children are at stake."I knew it! This school is fcked up.
"That woman you were with, she's a scheming bitch. According to my dad, she's been plotting revenge towards the mafia and ever since she came back to the island, everything is in chaos, the community has been restless for a year now. They want her and everyone connected to her dead"
Sht! That means, they want me dead too. I looked at her and horror filled my heart upon realizing that I can't trust her.
What should I do?
I have been rolling in my bed for the Nth time already trying to sleep but I just can't.
The things that Shana told me filled my heart with sadness. I'm sure my dad knows about these things and yet he sent me to this hell.
I need to call Luke as soon as possible.
-------------"What happened to you?"
I shooed him using my hands and continued walking but he walked beside me.
"I'm not in the mood to argue with you Sky."
"Well, Kaven was wondering about you. He thought he saw you recently in a ball."My heart started beating fast but I tried so hard to act normal in front of this monster.
"W-what ball?"
"Yeah right, try harder."I tried to avoid him by going back to the mess hall but he grabbed my arms and made me look at him.
"What? Can't you just leave me alone?"
"Nope! You were with him the last few days of your absence right?" I looked at him and he was smirking. "You don't need to answer that, your face says it all." I sighed in defeat, "So where is he?"
"Why do you want to know? To please her again?" His grip tightened and I felt his nails biting onto my skin, "Don't answer that, it's all over your face." This time I smirked and his eyes darkened, "I'm not playing with you,"
"Neither am I, so please, just leave me alone."I thought he would but he once again grabbed my arms and I couldn't help but flinch because of how tight his grip was,
"SKY!" His voice echoed and gathered the attention of the students.
Sky let go of my arms and looked at Blue who is glaring at him. He smirked and looked at me with disgust. I rolled my eyes and gave him the same look he's giving me.
"Tsk! The games are approaching and you are still a damsel in distress."
"Sky!"
"Yeah, yeah! If you haven't heard yet, this year's game is different, you should look out for yourselves instead of looking out for some btch."He turned his back from us and all I could do was to rub my arms to lessen the pain I am feeling right now but I guess the pain was coming from somewhere else.
"Sas, stop!"
"But it hurts."He grabbed my hands to stop me from rubbing my arms. I guess i am just scared of what's about to come.
"Come on, you'll be late."
We walked towards the campus and when we were on the 4th floor he spoke again.
"Do not trust anyone Sas, if Sky is right then this school will become a hunting ground this year. That ball is just the start,"
"S-shana?" He sighed and shook his head,I just nodded and he opened the door to the fire exit and I went out and then he went upstairs.
Yup! Blue is a senior. Even the 3 goons of Sky are seniors.
I entered the room and saw Shana waving her hands and I couldn't help but give her a sad smile.
I want to trust her but with all the things that are going on, I can't help but think twice because of two things.
1. I might endanger her, or
2. I will be endangering my family."Btch!"
I looked at her and smirked,
"Just like you."
She gritted her teeth and I smiled, Kira might be a btch but I know deep down that façade is a girl who longs for attention.
I walked past her and went to my seat, upon sitting down on my chair, the speaker roared and we had to cover our ears. It was the headmistress,
"In line with the recent events that led to the death of not just one but three students, the games will commence earlier. The teachers in charge will explain the changes in the gam.."
We covered our ears because of the static sound coming from the speaker and then a man's monotonous voice spoke again. What I heard sent chills down my spine.
"A new game will start today and it will be called the 'KIA HUNT', you give me the heir of Acantha and you will be rewarded with the thing you desired the most."
