graduation

"Is everyone ready?" Suna asked once more, glaring specifically at Atsumu through the rearview mirror. "No more bathroom breaks?"
"It was one singular bathroom trip!" Atsumu groaned, shoving the boy sat beside him. "Why don't you glare at Hinata, he was in there for like half an hour!"
Hinata let out a puff of air and patted his stomach, slouching back against the seat. "Anxiety's a bitch, man."
"What are you anxious for? It's not even your graduation!" Atsumu argued. Sitting by the window on the other side of Hinata in the middle seat, Yemi huffed a sigh, throwing her head against the glass.
"Can we please go before I blow my brains out?"
"Well that's not a good attitude to have!" Hinata pointed out. Yemi threatened to throw him out of the window if he didn't shut up, making Atsumu break into wheezing laughter when Hinata actually did, morphing his expression into a disappointed frown.
Suna rested his hands on the steering wheel, waiting for Osamu to finish pulling up the fastest route to the arena on campus where graduations were often held—along with basketball games and concerts when they were lucky.
"No death or violence threats, we're getting there in fifteen minutes," he announced as Osamu showed him the directions. He pulled out of the parking spot, listening to the groans and arguments coming from behind him from the three in the back ignoring his rules while a song that sounded vaguely familiar played on the radio.
"Can we hurry up? I gotta pee now." Hinata complained less than two minutes on the road. Suna could tell by Yemi's expression through the rear view mirror that it took nearly everything in her not to follow through on her threat to throw him out of the window. It was at least funny how they bickered like siblings even though he knew she loved him as much as you did. Unfortunately, he didn't think it would be enough to stop her from either killing him or herself.
He ignored Hinata's complaint, letting the other two in the back handle that. Osamu read out a text that Aran sent about meeting them there and he absentmindedly nodded along, not really concerned about anything but the thought of making sure that he didn't let the arguments around him distract him into accidentally killing them all.
The drive to the arena ended almost as soon as it began. The very sibling-like arguments—that Suna had somehow gotten dragged into, fighting passionately about how stupid it was that their nearby movie theater was rerunning all of the Shrek movies—settled down.
Aran was spotted right after they got out the car, coming out of his car parked not too far away, waving at them.
"Hey guys," Aran chuckled, patting Atsumu's back after he had thrown an arm over his shoulders in a greeting. "Been a while. Do you guys not work? How are you hanging out all the time?"
"Erm...yeah, we're all jobless." Osamu admittted, shrugging. "Just thugging it out with savings accounts and mom's money for me and Tsumu."
Aran shook his head, accepting Suna's dap-up/hug greeting before taking one of the programs handed to him by a lady greeting visitors as they entered. "You guys are insane."
"Not too much," Yemi told him, nudging his side with her elbow as they filtered into the arena, lucky enough to find seats close to the front.

Music started to echo throughout the area and a man went up on stage, welcoming all the visitors who had come. He kind of looked similarly to how anyone would expect an elf to with his pointy ears and long black hair, but he introduced himself as the head of a school organization and continued to talk through the entire introduction, nearly telling his entire life story.
