Sakusa didn't always make the best decisions. He was stupid as fuck.

He should've just admitted it at the end of last summer when he realized his feelings for you had dwindled.

It was hard dealing with you sometimes. He never saw you if he didn't make an attempt to, you were horrible at dividing your attention, and the lack of communication was tiring. He didn't know what to do, and while he considered breaking up with you right off the bat, he couldn't bring himself do it.

Instead, he found a different girl who was everything that he wanted from you, but different. She was...refreshing.

You were his first and longest serious relationship. Everything he knew about kissing, gift-giving, treating someone right, sex—it all came from the two and half years you spent together.

When you first started dating, he was clueless. He didn't know what to do when you had a bad day, or when you were cramping, or even when you were sad and wouldn't tell him why. He learned it through experience with you and his sister. 

Still, that wasn't an excuse. Well, it kinda was to him. He'd been repeating that to himself, that that was his first serious relationship. To be honest, he had never thought it was going to last past high school—even when you were filling out university applications together—but here you guys were; still adamant parts of each other's lives.

He did regret cheating on you. It wasn't the right thing to do—he knew that then and he knew it now—but to be fair, people made mistakes. Some more than others.

He should have broke it off sooner. Disappeared from your life so you two could be happy away from each other.

You let him off too easy not once, but twice. He fucked you over twice and you still didn't react how you should have. You didn't even raise your voice at him.

That made him feel so much worse.

He apologized over and over again for a week straight—over text because you wouldn't answer his calls—but you brushed it off every single time.
