"What an irony, the only people that can sit the iron throne are the ones, that have no wish for it" Jaerionna said. I looked at her walking around the throne room, like a goddess of death and I felt my lips trying to curve in a smile just from look...
So after not updating this fic for like a year if not more, I officially declare it to be dead.
And maybe it's for the better, the fic, though it had some good parts and the right intentions still is an utter fail!
But I as an author have learned a lot over my break and have taken some time off to really consider my writing and all in all the direction I want to go, and I'm super happy to say that I'm writing another fan fic!
For anyone that liked this book, or at least enjoyed the concept I can say you will definitely love my new book 'Death's Favorite Daughter'.
Largely inspired by this book, with witchy vibes, a bit of a similar oc (just waaayyy cooler) it will be the first part of the books I have planned (two books following my oc's life story, from childhood to death) and it is like an updated cooler version of this obvious failed, dead fic.
Still Aemond centered (only the first book though!) still niece x uncle all your usual targcest things, childhood friends to enemies to lovers trope. So pretty much in the same construct just better written with a far more interesting story and I think a better concept.
So for anyone interested check it out!
I'll post a description and intro bellow for anyone interested and I thank you for reading!
So all in all thank you to anyone who has stuck with me so far, thanks to my friends who have inspired me and encouraged me to start a new book, and I thank to this fic for teaching me so much, but sadly right now I see that it is easier to start everything from the beginning with a new and better story, than try to fix this one.
The description of 'Death's Favorite Daughter'
Born half dead, half blind, half living, half seeing, Aemma Velaryon was half as whole, her other half lost amidst her birth, belonging not to her or her mother at all, but rather to Death, who managed to get her claws upon it before she slipped out of the womb, blue and awkward. But Aemma managed to live, as a half, but she lived. And Death followed her around, waiting, when she could finally have the other half she had been promised.
When one is marked by Death, one becomes it and Death means doom, and doom is something Aemma Velaryon was good at. Embodiment of doom, she managed to doom everything and everyone she touched.
But doom is no easy thing to wield when one's realm is already in chaos. And when Aemma Velaryon manages to lie her weak, sickly, bony hands on the complicated tapestry that House of the Dragon was, the fabric teared, threads spilled out like veins popped and the picture turned to ash in her very hand.
And so will Aemma Velaryon manage to mend ash back together?
And the intro!
Aemma Velaryon and Aemond Targaryen were always the two sides of the same coin, two dragons born to burn together and stoke each other's fires. When two dragons stuck in human form spend too much time trapped within their own domesticated violence, fire is the only answer for liberation. Woven together since childhood in the complicated tapestry of family, duty, friendship and hatred alike, Aemma and Aemond can't help but ache for understanding which they only seem to find in each other. So it is when the Gods give too much power to prideful people chaos is unavoidable, which Aemond and Aemma find themselves amidst. They are tormented, they are yarning and aching, caged like animals, only free through their love. Destined for disaster, they are selfish enough to bring down anyone they see fit along to their doom. When survival is the only goal during family feuds, love and old friendship turns bitter, no one is a friend, no one is put above. So it appears that the hand holding the dagger pierced through your heart was that belonging to the one most dear to you from the beginning, the cold hand you kissed and held between yours to warm, the hand you wished to stroke your hair and hold you at night eventually is the one to hurt you the most. Aemma and Aemond are destined to hurt each other over and over again, stab one another without hesitation, place down the dagger and kiss each other's wounds away, licking the wounds like dogs, soothing the pain they themselves caused to the other, whispering sweet nothings and praying for the end of this deadly cycle, dooming the day they decided to stay, in regret.
And a few moodboards just because I really love and adore them them :)
