Zenkoh's Adventure

Chapter 7

Irya: The ruin is somewhere that many of the other factions have been sending adventurers...none of them have come back it seems. Supposedly there is some kind of powerful artifact in there somewhere according to what they are telling the adventurers.

Zenkoh: While that is interesting, why exactly should I care about that? What the factions do is their own business.

Maria: Do they even say what kind of artifact it is?

Irya: No...no they don't. Seems most adventurers are willing to go after being told there is ANY kind of artifact there. They of course also don't say anything about anyone coming back.

Maria: I guess we could keep it in mind. Where exactly is this ruin anyway?

Irya was silent for a minute, realizing that Kenzo was going to kill her for saying anything about the ruin...so she might as well tell them the location.

Irya: It's located far to the north past the fort of Stoneholde.

Zenkoh: Well...I guess if we end up around that area we might check it out. Now that I think about it, what are you going to do? You are kind of out in the middle of nowhere.

Irya hadn't thought about that as she had been too busy worrying about ending up dead after the gnolls caged her. Going back to Kenzo would likely just mean being reprimanded...or worse. After some thought she decided that it would probably be best for her own safety to stay with them.

Irya: I don't really have anywhere that I need to be right now so...I guess I could stick with you two, for safety sake.

Zenkoh: Oh...is that so? Well I guess welcome aboard then tiny.

Irya, while irritated at being called tiny yet again, let it go and controlled herself. She couldn't afford to start a fight with the only two nearby that would be able to protect her from Kenzo if it came down to that.

Maria: I guess we should figure out where to go next then.

As Maria said this she pulled out a map of the region. As she notes the places they have already recently been to, she sees the two closest towns to where they are.

Maria: We have two towns near here to pick between. To the west there is Graywatch. To the north-east there is Honeyhollow. I would also suggest we head back to Wolfvale to let them know the gnolls shouldn't be a problem anymore.

Zenkoh: Yeah, I guess they might want to know that. Let's head back first then figure out what to do next.

As they are traveling back Maria has a thought.

Maria: So Irya I was wondering, what is your favorite food?

Irya: That would have to be apples. What about you?

Maria: Fish of course. Zenkoh I'm pretty sure will eat anything.

Zenkoh: I'm right here you know. And for your information snake is ok, but my favorite would have to be deer.

*Some time later*

Upon arriving in Wolfvale they informed the innkeeper what happened with the gnolls.

Fira: Thank you for your help, we were worried that we might be forced to leave...or worse. Thanks to you, that's not a problem anymore. Unfortunately the only thing I can really offer you is to let you stay in the inn for free for a night, we don't really have much else.

Maria: Well...seeing that it's already getting kind of late we are going to take you up on that offer. Getting to stay at an inn might be kind of nice.

Zenkoh: What's wrong with camping outside?
